FYI on Sunday's Premium Stash Tab Upgrade sale

all tabs can be moved around (put mouse cursor over tab name and hold left-click - move to desired area).

OP has an issue (now and in a previous post) when it comes to "re-arranging" his inventory. he would rather receive the choice of "which tabs" become premium, so he doesn't need to spend the time re allocating his items/gear around.

that's the main point he is making as he did in a previous thread.

Did the IQ of the average person just go down since OB? Let me state this as simply as I can.
I have (had) the first 5 tabs filled with ORBS, RINGS, RED gems, GREEN gems, and BLUE gems.
None of my 23 tabs are premium (just the normal 1 to 23).
I buy the Premium Stash Tab Upgrade bundle.
PoE has randomly assigned them to my tabs 14-18, 19 to 23, and 8 to 12 in my 3 leagues.
Ok, so I drag all 5 tabs left from 14 -18 to the first 5 positions. No problem.

Guess what, now I have tabs 1 - 5 filled with the items that were in my tabs 14 -18 which is armor, weapons, etc. and not my ORBS, RINGS, etc. because now those first 5 tabs are shifted to the 6 - 10 tab positions. Has the light bulb gone on over your head yet or is it permanently burned out?

At this point I can rename the 1st five tabs to be Orbs, Rings, rG, gG, and bG. but the contents of these tabs are still filled with what was in my 14 - 18 tabs before I moved them (as it should be). Now I have to spend a lot of tedious time swapping every item in the 6-10 tabs with the 1 - 5 tabs to get my orbs, rings and gems back into the 1 - 5 tabs where I want them to be. That's 10 tabs of items (100s of them because I've been playing since last November) and this is just 1 league. I must do the same thing for my other 2 leagues so multiply the item moves by 3 (or 4 if you are playing Onslaught to) and maybe my post will finally become clear to you all. And what if I wanted the original 14 -18 tabs contents to be the same when I'm done? That's another 10 tabs of items to swap across all 3 leagues I play in.

Yes, the easiest (for now) is just upgrade all your tabs to Premium and the problem is solved.
If I had known this back in January when I started buying additional stash tabs I would have ugraded to premium then and only purchased the premium tab bundle to avoid this problem completely. I now have all of my tabs upgraded to Premium status so I can name and color them all as I please.

And yes, this would not be an issue if I didn't have a pretty full stash (The Anarchy League stash doesn't have too many items yet but my Standard and HC stashes are pretty full).

I guess I should have said nothing. My mistake for posting at all.

The very good news out of all of this is that GGG support is fantastic and helped me immensely and to show my appreciation I bought another Premium Stash bundle to increase my total to 29 stash tabs. Thank you GGG.

When the dust settled and GGG support solved this for me I did immediately buy another Premium Stash Tab bundle to increase my total stash by 6 more.

Do you ever use a spreadsheet to list columns of numbers? Do you make column headings?

If you created 23 columns of numbers and gave them headings of 1, 2, 3 ... 23 and then filled the 1st 5 columns with names (say Orb of Wisdom, Portal Orb, etc. in column 1), ( different ring names in column 2), (gem names in columns 3, 4, and 5). Then take the column 14 heading and change the number 14 to say Orbs, 15 to say Rings, etc.). now drag column 14 over to the left of column 1. Ok, now column 1 has a heading that says Orbs. But what is actually in column 1? Nothing because that was column 18 before you moved it and you didn't type anything into that column. So now where is the column with Orb of Wisdom, Portal Orb, etc. It's in column 2 now.

What if Microsoft or Corel or Open Office, etc. only allowed you to rename 5 column headings in their spreadsheet programs based on a random program assignment and you did not get to choose which 5 you wanted to rename, the program forced you to accept it's random picks. Would you be unhappy and frustrated? Of course you would.

I acknowledge that the issue of having code in PoE to allow us to take the Premium Tab Upgrades and assign them to whichever Normal tabs we currently have is not a game breaker. But it is annoying and an oversight and now that GGG knows this they'll fix it down the road after Act 3x and all the other 1001 programming tasks needing to be completed by the October release date.

If pressing {control}-{left mouse button} on the tab itself and then be asked if I want to de-select it as premium so I can then {control}-{left mouse button} on another normal tab and make it premium then that would be perfect. GGG knows they need to add code to allow the player to move a premium tab to another tab and has added it to their "to do list" of programming tasks. I'm sure it's further down on the programming list and that's ok as Act 3x has top priority for their October gold release of PoE. I just wanted to bring this omission to anyone upgrading some of your normal tabs to premium.

I guess the solution to the players with lower IQ is to buy as many Premium Tab upgrades as needed to make all of your tabs premium and then it won't matter anymore and then (as I'm doing) only buy the Premium Tab Bundle when you expand your stash space so all your tabs are premium (problem solved without moving 100s of items).

I guess some players must be fascinated with being able to {control}-{left mouse button} an item in the stash and magically watch it disappear and see it magically re-appear a fraction of a second later in the inventory and visa-versa.

edit: Oh wait... it's the smart players that make all their tabs premium and the others that want to spend all their time re-organizing their stash. Sorry for the mix up.

Chastising someone about their low IQ, not knowing who this person is(me). It's unfortunate, because that's called ignorance - and I'm going to go out on a limb and state that ignorance isn't a shining factor when determining IQ - where does that leave you?

I do know, however, that it's used to determine/predict the longevity of one's academic achievements and future income - So I must be doing pretty well on the IQ scale.

Next time you decide to insult someone, please don't do it to the guy who gave you a work around to the issue that you're complaining about - especially when your whole topic is based around being lazy.

Ok, I'll remember that. It doesn't apply here because there is no work around other than the time consuming tedious process of manually moving all items from one tab to another (and then repeat that another 14 times). My tabs average half full so let's see:

5 (tabs)* 2 (swapping items) * 50 (average items per tab) * 3 (leagues) = 1500 (item moves)

So you think it's lazy for me not to want to swap approx. 1500 times to get what I was expecting when I purchased the 5 Premium Tabs Upgrade. You can have at it then. The better solution which I got was to upgrade all my tabs and then everything stays where it is and I renamed and recolored every tab as desired.

edit: Ok, the tabs that were randomly made premium had armor, and weapons in them so thats probably 20 to 25 items but still I could have been looking at near 1000 moves to get everything re-arranged the way I want and that's still too many.

I'm not disagreeing that it wasn't good feedback, it was. All I did was state how it could be made a little less painstaking - I agree it's a royal pain in the ass.

When premium stash tabs came out I upgraded all of my tabs, of which around 100 of them were filled with stuff and I had to reorganize and categorize each tab(I spent about a half a day doing this) - it sucked - it should be fixed - I just didn't care for the insult.
