FYI on Sunday's Premium Stash Tab Upgrade sale

Just a heads up warning for all players that have regular stash tabs full of loot and are thinking of upgrading some of them to premium. Currently PoE does not contain any code to let you assign these Premium Stash Tabs to the specific normal tabs that you want. PoE currently randomly assigns the upgraded tabs.

So what does this mean. My own experience a few weeks back was that I had 23 normal stash tabs and purchased the 5 Premium Tab Upgrade bundle. I was thinking "great, I can make my first 5 tabs be orbs, rings, green gems, red gems, blue gems" and set the colors appropriately for quicker at a glance access. When I logged in to play HC I found that the tabs had been assigned to tabs 14 - 18 and that there was no way to change these, they were hard assigned. Normally that wouldn't be a problem but for me I have my first 5 tabs filled with 100s or orbs, rings, and gems and the 14-18 tabs filled with many, many items and to have to manually move all the items around to get my contents into the premium tabs and then I can move them to the 1 - 5 tab positions and name/color them as desired is a major amount of tedious work. Then when I logged into Standard and Anarchy Leagues and found the premium tabs were assigned to a completely different random group of 5 tabs and that means moving 100s more items in each league until I get the items I want into the premium tabs and that's even more tedious item moving. To be sure it's not a fatal flaw but it is very tedious and annoying to have to manually move a large quantity of items around.

Of course, this means that if you upgrade all your tabs to premium it won't be an issue or if you are new to PoE you won't have many items needing to be moved. Live and learn.

I informed Chris of this when I encountered it and I'm sure it's on their big "to do list" but for now PoE doesn't give you a choice of which 5 tabs get upgraded and if you have been playing for any length of time you will be having to move a lot of items around.

It allows you to move things pretty fast from bank to inventory back to bank. Yes, it does work.

I guess the average IQ of PoE players is low (no, only the posters to my thread). I never stated that I couldn't spend time moving 10 tabs worth of items around and then do it across 3 leagues. My post is a warning to anyone buying the Premium Tab Upgrade bundle that when you do purchase it that which 5 tabs are made premium is not in your control and PoE just randomly picks 5 of your existing normal tabs to upgrade. If pressing {control}-{left mouse button} on the tab itself and then be asked if I want to de-select it as premium so I can then {control}-{left mouse button} on another normal tab and make it premium then that would be perfect. GGG knows they need to add code to allow the player to move a premium tab to another tab and has added it to their "to do list" of programming tasks. I'm sure it's further down on the programming list and that's ok as Act 3x has top priority for their October gold release of PoE. I just wanted to bring this omission to anyone upgrading some of your normal tabs to premium.

I guess the solution to the players with lower IQ is to buy as many Premium Tab upgrades as needed to make all of your tabs premium and then it won't matter anymore and then (as I'm doing) only buy the Premium Tab Bundle when you expand your stash space so all your tabs are premium (problem solved without moving 100s of items).

I guess some players must be fascinated with being able to {control}-{left mouse button} an item in the stash and magically watch it disappear and see it magically re-appear a fraction of a second later in the inventory and visa-versa.

edit: Oh wait... it's the smart players that make all their tabs premium and the others that want to spend all their time re-organizing their stash. Sorry for the mix up.

if you want to make your first 5 tabs premium then just

drag the premium tabs using your left mouse click across.

re-read his original post and maybe you will see why what you've posted here is so... troll-y.

In case you can't be bothered to read it, he addressed this, exactly as you said it, the point is that the premium tabs are full of the wrong items, and the right items are in another tab. In order to get it right, he'll probably have to spend about an hour moving items from X tab, to inventory, making space in Y tab, moving items to Y tab, moving items from Y tab elsewhere... etc. Incredibly tedious. That is what this thread is about.

still he doesnt need to make it so big , 1 hour? maybe 20 minutes ye.However i understand the point of the thread and i think we should be able to choose by ourselves the tabs which get upgraded to premium

I can move all my tabs and rename all my tabs where i want them to (except the original 4 you start with).

Every item stays where it was when i logout, never had any issue with items replacing.

So dunno, seems to be a unique accout related problem.

So I'm a little confused... Can I move the premium tabs to any location? Or are the premium tabs stuck at a random location?
