Remove MF completely from game
So, at what point will you people stop to request that they remove any mechanic that requires time investment, flawless gameplay or quick reflexes?

" Anyone who doesn't like time investment shouldn't be playing in this type of genre. What exactly in this game requires quick reflexes? Standard Forever

"You mean like reflected damage? Yeah, that's annoying too; I'd get rid of it as a monster mod but keep it as a map mod. Oh wait, you were somehow being rhetorical and overly cryptic at the same time, and this is turning into a derail. Hmmm. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. " Reflect damage? Annoying? Its probably one of the easiest mechanics to deal with if you play cautiously and dont build a 600% crit multiplier character who is casting everything himself. Physical reflect - Granite Elemental reflect - Elemental Flask of the damagetype youre dealing If you manage to one shot yourself while having at least 85% resistances your build has flaws because you apparently cant deal with your own damage. The mechanic forces you to get defensive nodes and flasks, cant see how thats a bad thing. The only time where reflect really gets annoying is when looking at how easy a character with Chain can actually one shot himself. Then again, not randomly pressing your buttons but actually trying to pay attention to what youre attacking solves that problem. Or you can just go Vaal Pact. "Especially not in Hardcore, right? Yeah, okay, maybe I'm a little bitter. But I think glass-cannon (without totems or traps) should be very difficult, not flat-out impossible. Hence, not on monsters, still on maps. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. " Its not impossible. I was running a 400% crit multiplier FP character until 2 days ago (who was 80). Never did I have problems against reflect eventhough not being cold resistance capped. The problem of one shotting yourself doesnt really accure before 85+ unless youre playing EA, Discharge or ES based EK characters. Using Vaal Pact as CI makes it impossible for you to ever one shot yourself as long as you use multiple projectiles and the pack doesnt consist of 20+ mobs. As a life based character reflect is a little bit harder to deal with, but since a life based character would most likely start as either Marauder or Duelist, therefore having easy access to Elemental Adaptation, you would cap at around 87% with flasks, not even considering +max res items or Purity. I wouldnt call life based crit builds impossible, but they definitely are harder to play properly. Then again, why crit and not just a shitton of flat damage or simply stop getting multiplier after you reach 300%? Dernière édition par nynyny#3398, le 27 juin 2013 à 05:35:31

" Yeah, 600% multi vs reflect is no problem with Vaal Pact. Just no conc effect, or death awaits. [edit] " This is BS. If your damage exceeds a multiplicand of your life total (based on % of reflected damage and your resistances) you will one hit yourself, Vaal Pact or not. "In all honesty, don't you find the "I can't do too much damage or I'll one-shot myself" thing perverse? Upgrades are now downgrades? This is especially true for glass cannons; being required to run remote skills really pigeon-holes you. I just want to kill things very, very fast. Is that really so wrong? And, in an attempt to correct the derail, this only makes MF mods more necessary. The game actually limits how much you can DPS things, so instead of trying to go for a faster killspeed you just stack MF. Yawn. ITT: nynyny doesn't understand game mechanics, but argues them anyway.
