loot is boring / general bad experience with loot
" This is such a bad take and weird way to phrase it brother. Have you not played D2/D2R , Last Epoch or Titan Quest 2? I think I get 95+ garbage loot in POE 2 , whilst in other games I get like 45% garbage items. The worst ARPG when it comes to loot drops and crafting is POE2. POE2 is great for the gameplay and for the visuals, but everything else just sucks. The Crafting and the loot are the worst part, I have never , ever in any other ARPG game, found such terrible loot. I trully love POE2, but only for the gameplay. Nothing else is good about POE2. This in itself is actually wayyyyyy too powerful even if we are used to it. If you make crafting deterministic you devalue loot on the ground and even killing monsters. Coming from WOW this is a tough cookie to eat. Because we all love deterministic crafting but it works so well in WOW because all other systems work differently. It would completely make loot on the ground usless in POE in an instant. The only loot you pick up in POE1 is cafting orbs. which is in my opinion a comnplete failure and goes against their cornerstones they built the game on. I mostly agree with the OP’s sentiment. I always end up collecting “money” and buying gear, because sorting the garbage I looted or crafting (gambling) my own gear becomes too off‑putting. It’s too much work just to be disappointed again and again. I reached level 95, and during that time I crafted only 2 decent pieces, taking every promising opportunity. Then I just stopped looking at the ground. I just don’t enjoy frequent reading and playing the game in the inventory.
Instead, I would prefer less frequent drops. But if anything drops, it has to be worth my time to look at. Just want to add: Freeze buildup is not the problem. There’s also stun and electrocute. The problem is that you’re able to effortlessly destroy a boss in that short amount of time, so diminishing returns are completely pointless. " I don't know if this is sarcasm, but if it is not, know that this is an assanine statement. You shouldn't need a phD in math, consult 2 thrid party sites about probabilities, have to watch 10 youtube videos and pray to RNGesus to craft an item. If the game can't properly explain to you how to use their game mecahnics, that's just bad game design. |
