Companion & Minion ROLE!

Absolutely no offense taken. I've played those parties. And honestly, minions are way calmer on the screen than the average "lightning ball / arrow / rod / whatever" build that turns the entire monitor into a strobe light.

If we're worried about "can't see anything", flying sparkly projectiles carpeting the whole screen are the real highway to an epileptic seizure. My skeletons mostly just stand there and quietly commit violence.

The only place minions are genuinely annoying is the hideout, where they all try to cosplay as furniture. But that's also an easy fix. Let weapon swap despawn them and everyone's blood pressure drops by 20 points.

As I've said before, minions are actually fine. I can't really push single-minion DPS higher because I'm basically at the ceiling already. My Storm Mages are around 150k unbuffed each. With 24 of them, that's roughly 3.5M just from the mages, and when buffs are rolling it's about double. Not the greatest thing ever, but it's definitely not "non-existent damage".

I've also looked at the "fewer but gigantic minions" idea, but the math isn't kind. They don't scale enough to justify the spirit reservation hit, so my total DPS goes down.

So yeah, I get the appeal of fewer, stronger minions. I don't love pure "numbers" either. But it creates a second problem. Overkill. If you make one minion's cast hit twice or three times harder than a monster's HP, then that minion spends a bunch of time doing the magical equivalent of firing a cannon at a mosquito, and it's still stuck waiting on its next cast. Meanwhile, having more minions lets damage land in smaller chunks and spreads out targeting better.

So it's a delicate balance between count and power. I'd rather fix the actual issues (aggression, responsiveness, command options, recall behavior) than slap a hard cap on minion count and call it solved.

(Ouch my eyes blinking even when i hear it)

I strongly agree about ground effects coming from mages. Totally ruined every joy of the game with so many lights...

But partly agree with max number of minions. 80 mimions in screen will bring also technical problems becides game issues. CPU absorbs too many power for all these action moves, and people with old PCes can barely play flawless the game.

I think 10 is the appropriate max limit. Devs should made them a little bit stronger and Companions significant stronger. That means in full party about 50 total number.
+1. Improve Companion AI and generally put more aura modifiers and strengthen their damage.
I would like suggesting Devs to bring more modifiers to Companions. 8 should be the max number and lower levels starting from 4. It doesn't seems right to spend so many amounts of spirit just to have a minion with slitly more bufs becouse minions right now worth more investing on them with significant less cost. Moreover it needs a button to toggle their aggression on/off.
