Skip the story??

I know this will upset, annoy and most likely piss people off but the most hated thing for me in ARPG is re-doing the storyline you've done hundreds if not thousands of times if your a streamer or hardcore player like i get the first time in a new season kind of a must and you have to do it but why when i get to maps and bored of that character or just wanna try something else. Why do i have to redo another 6-8hr storyline again as i don't get heaps of time in this game so that could be over a week for me and i would honestly say over half to three quarter of my poe time it is just redoing the story again.
Would GGG be open to offering people a paid or an earned item to help with us saving time and getting us to end game to enjoy the game instead of a same old boring storyline you've seen so many times? Thanks in advance for reading this people hope your lucky the next map you do!! Dernier bump le 28 déc. 2025 à 05:11:30

So you want to skip the campaign in order to level your new char from 1 to 100 in maps only?
|
|
|
No not 1 to 100 in maps that kinda crazy you would die to so much.. On average with just me i come out of the story around 50+ most times so maybe we start at level 55 or something..

" So what you are asking is not just campaign skip but also character boost. I'm afraid that's never gonna happen. |
|
|
How about start at lvl 100 and call it a day. Job done.

Paid skip sounds like the worst idea I've ever heard someone wanting to be introduced into PoE. Every example of this getting introduced kills games and also opens the door for more P2W transactions being introduced. No thanks on P2W being in the game.
I don't think it would be a good thing to allow skips, even outside the P2W aspect. You would hurt the longevity of leagues, as people leveling alts keeps many people engaged who enjoy the genre. Having to level alts is part of the economy, just as much as people mapping and gearing their endgame characters. The impact it would have on the experience from a trade perspective would be drastic. You would see the value of a large % of items in the game go to basically nothing. People invest a lot of currency into leveling/gearing alts and removing this, imo, would do more harm than good economy wise. I understand some have asked for this, mainly due to not having the time to invest, but I would say in response that arpg's, along with mmo's, have always been a time investment to get the most out of the game. To me it's a big part of what makes the genre enjoyable. Hope you have a good league. Happy Holidays! Dernière édition par rrogan17#2926, le 28 déc. 2025 à 03:43:09

" no need to skip the campaign. the speed runners have already prove that it is possible to complete the campaign and get to end game in under 2 to 3 hours. all you need is effort and time to learn the game. 34pre98qua

" I never understand how is it possible for some people to finish whole campaign before I reach Ogham Village lol. |
|
" At already prepared characters which doesn't need to farm stuff? Also, if the game demands from player to be a dumb speedster, just to not annoy you - then it is bad game Auctioneer House - is a MUST!
'POE2' is not 'POE1 2.0'! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3614313 |

TL:DR: Campaign skip for alt chars during league = great true = 1 Paid = 0 Alt method for campaign skip = 1
"No need to skip the campaign just become a speedrunner" Do you hear yourself? Was this a ragebait reply? Or is it missing neural connections? Speedrunners or streamers should never be and realistically can NEVER be the baseline. These people make a living or at least a small sidehustle doing that. It is what is commonly understood as: commercialisation. Just like scalpers in cardtrading products and the like. I think skipping the campaign or finding an alternate work around for follow up characters is a fantastic idea. Especially for full release, league content (if league cycles remain a thing that is. Who knows at the moment. Maybe leagues disappear all together so we can get another 200 Acts with ever increasing maps because it is a tone of fun to hunt checkpoints on a map the size of a planet) It could be mapping. But not atlas mapping. More limited mapping and fixed boss fights that act as limiting parameters. Gear/Level-Check limiters (nothing new and fancy but a proven and possible solution). It also doesn't need to be D3 adventure mode. It worked then and would bore me now. Anything but having to sit through another 20hrs+ of reaching endgame on an alt char in a league. Not sure why people don't get that the casuals is where consistent player numbers and profit comes from. You get a casual hooked, he/she/it is worth far more in terms of profitability. Those players are dedicated to a fault because they choose to put their limit time into your game. The whales, overnerds and children might play the game but there is no money to be had. Overnerds always game the system because they think they are the shit and children? Well...yeah. You want the dads, the moms, the students (uni or otherwise), young adults. People who spend money for the things they like. |
