Realistic feedback - no sugarcoating

1. Servers were, are, and probably will be awful. Ever since I started playing POE1 back in 2013, the EU servers have been horrendously unstable. Losing progress, maps and loot never felt as bad as in POE2 though, as now the game will just let you know that YOU failed the map due to a server crash.

2. Releasing content as if it were POE1 leagues is a complete failure. You clearly lack either time or manpower to produce good content and uphold to your promises (endgame rework in 0.4, right?). Also, where are the actual challenges if you call these POE2 releases "challenge leagues"?

3. Defenses are still heavily focused on energy shield because for some reason you still hate %life nodes on the tree. More than that, you also lock specific gear (unlike in POE1) to have particular affixes, so if, let's say, for some reason I wanted to go a life-based spellcaster with a wand and focus, I am unable to roll life modifiers on the focus. I don't know how much you would need to prioritize armour or evasion to make it even remotely workable, but pretty sure it's just damn easier to path to ES nodes anyway

4. The passive tree itself lacks meaningful building choices. If I want to play X skill, I will most likely choose 95% of the same passive nodes as any other player does. This is very surprising since we somehow got Delirium as one of the first mechanics, but for some reason we did not get cluster jewels to tinker with our builds outside of the poorly designed tree

5. Crafting is still awful and I don't see it improved if you stick to your vision. Praying for white items and blindly slamming them with transmutes and augs just to throw them away is stupid. We need alts and scours, it's as simple as that.

6. Maps are still poorly designed; huge with a ton of obstacles and now with the extra flavor of reduced monster quantity! Truly feels like we're in exile since we spend more time walking than fighting now. Not only that, but some maps still lack checkpoints that you promised long time ago to add (spring is an example). To further compound this problem, we lack meaningful movement skills and general movement speed scaling. You even thought of taking away blink as a quick ability to move around on a weapon swap - thank you, this is perfection.

7. Complete (or at least what seems to a player like myself since nothing new was ever communicated in this regard) refusal to work with NVIDIA to fix BOTH games' incompatibility with their newest drivers, causing frequent DX12 crashes: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3839584.

8. There is little to no point in minmaxing builds in this game, as:
a) skill costs are stupidly high and unrealistic if we get really good gear with a lot of +max level of skills
b) you introduced artificial damage reduction to bosses so they can't get blasted anymore
c) there is absolutely no real endgame

The endgame consists of the same boring RNG atlas loop, praying for water/swamp biomes with 5% chance to overrun them with abyss. We still have this terrible atlas passive tree that is a far cry from the amount of customization we get in the game's predecessor.

100% increased chance for maps to contain strongboxes? Well, enjoy getting none for 3 maps straight!

Towers have been reduced to pointless structures with no impact on the game, juicing has been minimized and focused around 0 respawn maps and thus loot just does not exist if you don't have a hyper-optimized character that you know you won't die with, and you even took the ability to use "deli orbs" on the maps themselves. The fact that players can't even opt in to play squishy glasscannons because you FORCE boss encounters to finish maps now is a cherry on top.

It truly feels like you want this game to be boring and slow. Why can't you just focus on releasing constant updates instead of wannabe POE1-style leagues? This is Early Access - treat is as such. Otherwise, don't expect us to treat it in the same way.

Have all of these same conclusions. Lots of systems (not all) seem complex and deep at first glance but arent. They just are surface level mechanics that appear to have depth. I hope the game improves and I hope that this league is a wake up call to get both games back on track.

I think out of that list my biggest shake my head is the passive tree. They even said in an interview that the passive tree is designed to be multiplicative and that is just incorrect. The tree is primarily composed of generic increases in damage (additive). Very dull nodes that act as side pathing nodes to defense and jewels.


***The one system that I genuinely think has been innovative and completely been iterated on in a creative way is the weapon set tree. I will give credit where credit is due. That system with locking weapon+offhand to either weaponset seemlessly and can utilize 2 different trees is just incredible.

Garbage. Never before has it been so clear as they made it in this league's patch that they want players to be fighting every rare for 10 seconds straight. I levelled a bow monk for an idea i had about a chaos build and it has been a truly unpleasant experience from late act 3 onwards. Not only is there a ridiculous level requirement of 79 for voltaxic rift, but the plethora of nerfs to archer that of course impact every other bow build out there, made trying to get to that level with a rare bow & lightning arrow (or stormcaller arrow for that matter which is my choice for endgame skill and still in a horrible state so many months later) a real chore. For starters, i've had to ask for help on about 4 boss encounters which i've never had to do before...
And while i've reached T1 maps now and almost level 70, it's such a pain to play that i'm considering just quitting this league altogether.
If this is truly what you lot have in mind for POE 2, then you can keep it.
And judging by the numbers of players that apparently have already quit sooner than me, i'm far from alone. Looking every season at what people play most and then nerfing it to the point that it barely can get through the campaign is asinine. But i'll congratulate you all on taking something which launched with potential and gradually destroying it in less than a year

3. Yep. Life is being used as a noob route. So is armour. Both are a joke.
#3 is...yeah ES is just way better, it also let me see how overtuned bosses are...often getting hit for over 5k...what a joke...no HP build can handle this...but ES builds does and they are usually caster builds which make 0 senses.

It really is a bit too soon to really comment on the quality of my build cause i'm not playing my build idea yet since it requires voltaxic rift.
Meanwhile, i'm playing LA which i already made a variant of in season 1 and the difference is staggering. My S1 variant was triple element and so not even the meta from last season, but now this almost exact build has issues getting through the campaign while it was smooth sailing the first time around. I call that worth mentioning.
