if u can't fix the crashes + freezes, give us offline mode

still the same issues seem to occure no matter the server or launch settings..
sadly friends of mine have the same issue to as well as some streamers still that ive been watching

PoE2 was actually a great opportunity to switch up the game architecture and have the game be local-first

To ensure that 10-20 years from now even if something happens to GGG and they disappear and the servers get shutdown - this game would still exist in this world, and you could appreciate it and have fun playing SSF

A wasted opportunity imo

From what I've seen my impression is that something went terribly wrong during the development cycle. And it seems at some point they just decided to start copying stuff from PoE1 to fill in the gaps and rush out early access.

I actually think the main reason for complaints in this community about things like "slog", "vision", "clunkiness",, etc. stems from the fact that they didn't actually "stick to the vision" - at the end they took shortcuts and copy-pasted stuff from PoE1 which is bound to feel bad. PoE2 movement and flow just doesn't mix and match with PoE1 monster behavior and numbers on damage,hp,etc.

Saw an old 4chan leak from an employee saying that PoE2 never got proper development - people have been constantly pulled away to work on PoE1 leagues. Which I kinda believe to be true now, as it explains a lot of issues the game has now
Offline mode would be fine, but it would need to be SSF only, with no ability to have the character go back into any kind of a trade league, and characters would need to be excluded from leaderboards.

There is simply no way to make an offline mode with any level of security compared to a server based mode. Cheats / modifying gear with memory editors would become trivial. That’s not an issue if it’s setup so it can’t impact anyone else’s game.

Realistically I think it would be a far larger backend effort to implement an offline mode than most people realize.
How to fix the game freezing on the interface, switching equipment with the controller causes it to freeze after exiting. Also, the game lags during loading, requiring repeatedly closing and reopening the game.
i honestly couldnt care less for leaderboards, and ye they could do the same as Last Epoch i guess where offline doesnt effect the rest of the game/players.

and more importantly what another person mentioned as well that players will be able to continue playing the game (incase) ggg decides to stop supporting the game.

weirdly enough i also use a controller, besides that freezes when they happen atleast the game just is completely frozen then the loading firefly effect or whatever it is comes up after a minute or so, and i can simply press the middle button on the ps5 controller to go to character screen to "pause the game" and wait till my character loads (when that loads the game loads again as well)

SUPER WEIRD!!
I am noticing far more disconnects/freezes in party than outside of one. The trouble is that it is eating maps, and for whatever reason my map sustain is garbage this season.

- Sometimes I freeze up
- Sometimes I DC
- Sometimes I cannot port back to the hideout or exit to character select
