I think Vaal Temple is underappreciated
|
My thoughts are that its an interesting idea to build your own dungeon.
In practice, it was a waste of time for me to do so, because I can already target farm the stuff I need for progression from map content, and jumping into a 20 minute long temple full of stuff I almost certainly will never use has no purpose. If I wanted to do something 'challenging but rewarding' I would run a trial. |

i love the vaal temple but it needs to be bigger , and u should be able to get greater exalts from the "crafting benches"
and overal the rewards are kinda MEH . |

" Oh, it's not bad. You can look at how Neversink farms it. It's actually quite profitable. The main point is - if you know the mechanic, it works fine. But I don't think that "flower-shape" temple being the ONLY viable strategy is good design. It needs changes to become an actually good mechanic, IMO. It needs a lot of changes to be up there. The main 3 issues basically are: it's inaccessible in-game (requires too much knowledge you can't get in the client, or you will be heavily punished while obtaining the info), it's too slow and punishing (to build and maintain it profitable, while you can just run any other mechanic end you don't really need to do any of it and gain more), and it has 0 variety (if you want to play at least somewhat consistently, there is only 1 stratagy there, and it's not building a temple how you want it, it's building a "spider" of sorts for it not to be destroyed). I think the way the Vaal temple is "charged up" is actually a great idea. Combined with the fact that you can stack multiple temples I think this is much preferable to how they handle access to the Arbiter with fragments for example.
You still get limited access to a Pinnacle but it isn't gated behind RNG/pathing to some specific far away spot and you can't simply buy access off the marketplace, allowing the rewards to be better. I honestly hope they take out Arbiter's crisis fragments and give the Burning Monolith the same treatment. Make Citadels more common and let them provide the juice that opens the Monolith directly. |

I want to follow up to say I'm still really enjoying Temple. In fact, the more I do it, the more I enjoy it. I'm not looking at guides and I don't want to. But, I'm logging my findings in a spreadsheet, and I find that really exciting. Also, the last run I did had way better loot than I got in any map, this league. The more I play it, the more I hope it goes core!
I also just like the league for it's aesthetic, lore, how the temple builds out. I think the reward for this league is not the loot itself, but just walking the halls of a cool temple, seeing how all the halls and rooms twist and turn. Like, "Oh wow, there's a big feature plant in the middle of the atrium!" If you enjoy that, then you're gonna enjoy this league a lot! I kind of really wish they would make more leagues like this! The only thing I'd ask to be tweaked is the 1 run per 6 maps thing. Otherwise, it's golden! Dernière édition par ac429#4687, le 22 déc. 2025 à 15:19:16

I find the temple to be really bad, the drops are bad, the rooms are confusing and RNG-based, and the destabilisation ruins everything. It's just basically RNG, a gambling mechanic, not an actual gaming mechanic. God I'm so frustrated with this dogshit league.

i think rooms are not big enough. compared to map it s a bit small. need more time in temple for more immersion
also, instead of just having to kill all fucking monsters in aroom, even the tiny ones in dark corners, they should appear by wave. 1 monster in each corner of room every 2 to 5 seconds (random timer). that would add to the immersion. also game too easy so reduce temple loot. The temple itself is fine, the problem is the rewards.
You invest so much time in it for a very small return. The Atziri fight was fun though, very unrewarding but fun. They should pimp the rewards, especially end game by 300%. I will not be doing any Temple for the rest of the season, as I got everything I could get from it, which was the experience of fighting Atziri. It definitely is. Much like sekhemas people don’t know how to make a killing with it and immediately call it unrewarding
Temple with investment is really just incredible after the patch Mash the clean
