Architect one shotting?

Oneshot comes from phys dmg, not ele.

Armour and defences oveall need to be reworked. But thats EA i guess.

Same thing keeps happening to me. Does anyone know what kind of defense you need to be able to survive this attack? Is it elemental damage?

I'm assuming it's cold damage since it looks like ice... but my Chill Proof passive doesn't seem to be doing anything and the move is quite fast. By the time I see it I'm dead.

Ive survived the frost aoe twice, think its a mix of phys/cold.
I got 4K hp+es, res capped, 60% phys reduction, and 20% dmg conversion from infernalist ascendancy.

it has still killed me more often than not though.

I like that he is an active boss that keeps me on toes and has a variety of attacks threatening enough to prevent me from attacking him non stop.
Is there some kind of memory mechanic going on with the tiles in the room? They sometimes light up, but I'm not sure what it does.
I'm not sure regarding the oneshotting: I've made the experience of being oneshotted by him, but usually I survive his attacks and can just drink a potion. Maybe it depends on how the temple is juiced?
I would dislike him becoming easier, but a way to practice fighting against him instead of having only a single attempt would be good. I also dislike oneshots and would prever more a sustain-style of balancing bosses (if you make a mistake, you aren't oneshot, but if you do too many, you'll run out of healing potions):

the first time i fight the architect, i got one shot by him when i am too close to him.

i have learnt my lesson. the second time, i stay away as far from him as possible and attack from a distance. this time i managed to kill him.

this architect is a dps check and defence check and gear check. it is tough fight.

A couple of weeks ago this guy one shooted me on my bear, with good deffences with this cold AOE. ok, after that all the time it's the easiest boss. But suddenly he oneshooted my warrior, who can resist 14k of cold damage and +6k of physical damage. With the same attack. One cold attack. All other attacks do nothing, but this one shooted. HOW? GGG, please give me an answer, what is the damage?! No tablets at this tample. No extra damage from crits (The brass dome). WTF is going with some bosses? What is the shit going with one shot mechanics. What an needs to do it?!

Max physical one hit damage - 6k. All other 12-15k
it's 51k armour, about 100k elemental armour, about 20k chaos armour and 5+8=13% additinal physical damage reduction with immun to crit
So, don't tell me about HP pull

It's eeasy on this titan to get 3000+hp, not reducing rarity (100%+). Just removing Giant's blood (+334hp) and replace 25% aftershock with more 15% hp and go instead of experimental and fun super charged slam to shield wall. It was my previouse season warrior, I don't want to repeat myself
And more over, it's not my thread. I was interested, if some one else was shocked with this particualr 1 visual cold attack from architector, which one shots. There is a hole thread about it with shocked players
