what's the reason for nerfing Giant's Blood?

to encourage dual wield one-handed mace? congratulation! it doesn't work.

Its still super strong, just get min Str needed and focus on life and ES. Blocking is so powerful now that it makes sense.

Plenty of people one hand a two handed mace with a shield my man.
Not all the Giant's Blooders were dual wielding two-handers.

Besides that the reason they nerfed BG is because literally every warrior used it and they didn't like that it was universal instead of a build choice.

Giant's Blood is a very expensive significant node. Collecting so much Strength for a character means getting a huge lack of other characteristics. This GREATLY limits the capabilities of the build. But that didn't seem enough, and my health was cut off. The sad thing is that even with two-handed weapons, melee damage is not enough for T2-T3 content. And the damage of one-handed weapons is insufficient even for maps and T1 content. The game forces you to take the Giant's Blood. Those who think that this significant skill is too powerful are wrong. The LA and sparky are too strong and broken. And this is "You'll get a little stronger, but it's expensive"

that's my point. nerfing does not change anything from 0.1, so why nerf it?
They need to stop nerfing outside the most egregious cases and instead buff other avenues to bring them on par.

If one thing is dominating build diversity the solution isn't nerfing that thing into the ground. Instead tune it gently and buff alternate values so other routes are adopted to a similar degree.
Deserved nerf. It was stupidly strong earlier and mandatory for all strength builds.
