In theory sure but in practice it means no patches/hotfixes for a couple weeks with entitled people crying about how GGG is a scam and blah blah blah. Like look how early access launch went, they're not going to do that again it would be fucking dumb.

They said they want to stick to the 4 month schedules. Because delaying one game puts pressure on the next one and so on. If they delay POE2 0.4 to mid January for example, it means that POE1 3.27 will probably be longer than 4 months which they don't want.

They also didn't want EA to be more than a year and here we are.... Like wanting something in no way means it's what happens. Just from a outsider perspective it's obvious POE isn't going to last another 2 years and will most likely go into "classic" seasons and maybe have 1 new content patch a year so they can focus on the thing that they should be at some point.

Talking about wishful thinking. It is the other way around - they are focusing more on PoE 1 than on PoE 2.
