You managed to make the endgame worse.

Map prepping in this game is absolutely abysmal. It makes me want to alt f4 every time I even think about it. Maps feel empty, no matter how much you juice them. Why did you reduce the number of monsters on maps? Literally no one asked for that. Who thought it was a good idea to remove rare icons from the map just because the objective is now to kill the boss? Don’t you guys know that loot in this game just comes from rares?

These kinds of decisions are not about your “vision” or some design philosophy. They’re just stupid design choices that make me think you don’t even play your own game.

I thought it wasn’t possible, but somehow you managed to make a horrible endgame even worse. Congratz!

The number of monsters in T15+ maps was not changed in the patch. This shit right here is how I know half of you guys just borrow your opinions directly from streamers and post them here without actually playing the game.

It was a good idea. The icons were added to help people finish maps more efficiently, not just make it easier to farm loot.

They did. Open maps have fewer mobs now because supposedly players were getting swarmed, and I’m playing the game, I can feel the difference. I don’t watch any streamers or base my opinion on that. I’m speaking from my own experience.
Wasnt it only reduced in lower tier maps, and slowly scale up in pack size until T15 so it was the same?

What I’m referring to is a different change from that. I’m fine with reducing mob density in lower tiers and ramping it up as you progress, but the change I’m talking about is that open layout maps now have fewer mobs. They mention it in the YouTube video, and I can definitely see the difference when playing the game.

Yeah, so this one comes down to a little bit of basic vocabulary.

The video says that open-layout maps will have slightly lower pack density. Density and quantity are two different things that can be modified independently. The reason they mention open-layout maps is precisely because those are the layouts that allow for lower pack density without reducing the total number of monsters.

Literally 5 seconds before mentioning this change in density Jonathan explicitly says that in T15 and above, maps have the same number of monsters in 0.3.1 as they did in 0.3.

And yeah, you can "feel" the change in density because it's immediate and local. Your brain was more than happy to translate that into a lower total number for you because that's what you told it to expect ahead of time. You're not just getting a "feel" for the total number of monsters across an entire map dude you're not Rain Man.

Imagine trusting GGG for their words, kekw. Remember when they said there won’t be major change in mid league? If you play since 0.1 lol

It does, but that's beside the point man. What I'm telling you is that whether or not either of us feel the number of mobs has changed has essentially nothing to do with whether or not they actually have because we are both equipped with regular human brains.

The T15 I just completed had 1,830 monsters on it dude. Is it possible that in 0.3 the same map might have had 2,100 instead? Sure, but trust me when I say that neither of us are capable of just getting a "feel" for that kind of difference over the course of an entire map.

You heard something in the video that made you think there were going to be fewer monsters, so you perceived fewer monsters. I went in with no such expectation, so I perceived no difference.

Imagine admitting that you spend your free time playing a game developed and managed by people you believe to be untrustworthy liars and thinking that it makes you look like the smart one in this situation.
