Yup. Xesht and king of the mists are easy. Kulemak has orbs that spawn ground effects i literally can't see because the area is dark+im color blind and there area to fight in is narrow since there is an impassable line of bright shit that makes it even more difficult to see dividing the area in two. Melee character vs phys dot that you can't mitigate that ALSO prevents recovery so life flasks and leech are useless.
Yay, so much fun.
But hey, I should just follow the meta cause everyone knows build diversity means play one of the 3 meta builds or be a professional streamer devoting 8+ hours a day to farming currency for mirror-tier gear, right?

True, no one can kill kulemak as melee. It's impossible. Only mirror tier gear LA deadeye can kill that boss

Yeah, cause thats what I said, right? Tell me, how do you mitigate phys dot when you can't see where it is and it also prevents recovery? Genuinely curious what your solution is. Let me guess ... walk away from the boss after hitting it 3 times cause an orb is incoming and then run in circles because he teleported onto the ground effect?

That is, they won't fix the balance in broken builds that have millions of dps and hp, and they don't give a damn about these changes at all, but they make life difficult for ordinary players who try to play this game honestly. This addition is just a slap in the face.
This has always been GGG's MO. "Balance" to the 0.1% of players, everyone else gets screwed. That's why PoE1 is so meta heavy, the game has been so heavily tuned over the last decade to cater to the 99.9th percentile and their min-maxing, without any attempts to bridge the chasm between them and the rest, that the only way to have a chance at having fun with the game is to jump on their wagon.
Yes, there are outlier builds that you can come up with from time to time that can get that high, but are so expensive that they aren't meta, but then you need to be rich to hit those levels.
It's why new leagues in PoE1 have most players following meta with one character, then using that meta follower to fund what they actually wanted to play, because what they actually wanted to play is not viable before 50+ divs worth of investment.

I thought they would actually try to balance map bosses. Yeah stupid me, right?. I decided to give them some time to sort out the trash that has been the .3.1 patch. But leveling a character from creation to mapping, and nothing changed.
Digsite 2 Mod T3 waystone- Map mobs are kill-able but a challenge. no deaths on mobs or rares. Almost every Magic and less mob dies in 1-2 attacks. Rares take 10-15, and I have to be cautious. Go to the boss, He has SOOOOO much HP that it would take me longer to DPS him down (Without considering ANY other mechanic in the fight) than it took me to do the REST of the map. WTF?!?!
On top of an astronomical HP pool, he 1 shots me every time he hits me. What?!?
Everything else in the map was doable, but the boss makes it impossible to finish. And no other waystones dropped. He killed me 4 times each as a 1 shot. So not only did I not finish the map, I am also down on waystones.
And he was the ONLY thing preventing me from finishing the map -- A T3 2 MOD map. He had 200-300x more HP than any of the rare mobs and did a 1 shot attack just slightly slower than my dodge roll animation and recovery. I'd get 1-2 melee attacks in and then roll... after 4 minutes of attempting to perfectly dodge roll his shocks and explosions, he's at 75% HP, then a server lag spike hits and I die.
Seriously worst patch since 0.2. This isn't fun and engaging. This is stupid bullet sponges that waste our time and resources.
I was really enjoying 0.3 but this has killed ALL motivation to continue playing this league...
I'm most likely done and will move onto Silk Song -- a game that actually has ENGAGING combat and feels fun and rewarding to play.
This is exactly how I feel about the endgame changes...there is simply nothing fun about it. that was it for me for this league. However, I did make 4 characters lvl 94+ , compared to the last one, where I didn't even went past lvl 83 on one character. so there were some improvements, but the end game, especially bossing and item/currency drops are lacking. bossing is to hard (any kind of bossing) and the rewards are non existent.

Just unspec your map atlas difficulty points from your other character unless you want to fight a dude with 15m hp for half an hour. They forgot to balance bosses around those, as usual.

I was about to suggest padding your DPS and defenses by taking advantage of the amazing trade Market feature they spent the last dev cycle working on, but then I realized you're almost certainly playing SSF and are going to come back immediately with some holier-than-thou "trade league" nonsense so I'll just skip it.
Yes that is correct. If it's all the same to you in trade league, you won't even notice if the game is balanced around SSF, so therefore there's no reason not to do it.

God forbid they create bosses with actual mechanics you have to engage with not just loot pinatas that instantly explode. They need to make bosses even harder. More hp, more attacks, more phases. On top of that they also obviously need to balance the game. None of it matters if builds are so strong they can ignore all mechanics. There needs to be a floor and a ceiling for any competently put together build.
