Bosses are trash. Balance is NON-EXISTANT. Why do they have 200-300x HP as Rares?!?
I thought they would actually try to balance map bosses. Yeah stupid me, right?. I decided to give them some time to sort out the trash that has been the .3.1 patch. But leveling a character from creation to mapping, and nothing changed.
Digsite 2 Mod T3 waystone- Map mobs are kill-able but a challenge. no deaths on mobs or rares. Almost every Magic and less mob dies in 1-2 attacks. Rares take 10-15, and I have to be cautious. Go to the boss, He has SOOOOO much HP that it would take me longer to DPS him down (Without considering ANY other mechanic in the fight) than it took me to do the REST of the map. WTF?!?! On top of an astronomical HP pool, he 1 shots me every time he hits me. What?!? Everything else in the map was doable, but the boss makes it impossible to finish. And no other waystones dropped. He killed me 4 times each as a 1 shot. So not only did I not finish the map, I am also down on waystones. And he was the ONLY thing preventing me from finishing the map -- A T3 2 MOD map. He had 200-300x more HP than any of the rare mobs and did a 1 shot attack just slightly slower than my dodge roll animation and recovery. I'd get 1-2 melee attacks in and then roll... after 4 minutes of attempting to perfectly dodge roll his shocks and explosions, he's at 75% HP, then a server lag spike hits and I die. Seriously worst patch since 0.2. This isn't fun and engaging. This is stupid bullet sponges that waste our time and resources. I was really enjoying 0.3 but this has killed ALL motivation to continue playing this league... I'm most likely done and will move onto Silk Song -- a game that actually has ENGAGING combat and feels fun and rewarding to play. Dernier bump le 4 oct. 2025 à 15:35:05

That is, they won't fix the balance in broken builds that have millions of dps and hp, and they don't give a damn about these changes at all, but they make life difficult for ordinary players who try to play this game honestly. This addition is just a slap in the face.

I was about to suggest padding your DPS and defenses by taking advantage of the amazing trade Market feature they spent the last dev cycle working on, but then I realized you're almost certainly playing SSF and are going to come back immediately with some holier-than-thou "trade league" nonsense so I'll just skip it.
Do hope you enjoy Silksong as much as I did. It is extremely fun and engaging. It is also a single player game that a casual player is going to 100% in a month or two, so definitely no reason to try and compare it to PoE2. But, yeah definitely enjoy it while it lasts. |

" Literally what are you guys even talking about at this point? 0.3.1 did not increase the difficulty by any degree that would justify these comments. Also, I'm a very ordinary player with nowhere close to a million DPS and exactly 1671 Life playing a whacky-ass build in one of the least played classes in the game and I just hit 100% Atlas completion like 10 minutes ago so I dunno man I just don't think GGG is holding you back. |

" Nah, I'm in trade. Just getting a few upgrades as I can. Most recently got an ingenuity that topped out my elemental resists and got my chaos resist up to 65. But now, needing to get resources to get upgrades on evasions and energy shield... It would be so nice if I could actually make progress in my atlas. |

I come to the forums too often with high expectations of the community but then when I read posts like this I’m brought back to reality and remember, anyone can post on here.

Consider using different skill combination for that case, what works for fast clearing maps, doesn't necessarily work against bosses.
You can make it, these bosses actually die too fast if you get it right. If everything fails, just get better weapon. |

" You definitely can but I would say you need to spend some more time with a build planning tool or just experimenting with how attributes affect your performance because I definitely don't think someone stuck in T3 maps should be investing in Ingenuity. Unless you're wearing 5d rings at a bare minimum, Ingenuity is almost certainly not doing nearly as much for you as a cheap rare belt would. Like, my rings are fairly decent but even so Ingenuity is not as good as the rare belt I'm wearing which is probably one of the least expensive items I have on right now... ![]() Dernière édition par Kerchunk#7797, le 3 oct. 2025 à 03:41:07

Yeah, mapping is impossible for me since the update. Bosses are way out of balance.

we absolute need bosses to be harder than rares. rares are the most generic lame bland fights imaginable. the only thing that can have a semblance of "meaningfull combat" is bosses. only entities that have some interesting moves. ggg has tried to make rares "interesting" in poe 1 it was always a massive fail. and because ggg likes the game to be super grindy, it will be always mandatory to destroy rares.
i am not saying bosses should be mandatory to complete the maps or anything, just the bosses should be harder than rares. we need to farm rares for currencies. so it s mandatory to kill rares as fast as we can to get the loot. so there will never be anything interesting about it. so we need to get enough dps to melt the rares. if bosses < rares then getting a strong enough character to grind in this game means all map bosses become meaning less like in poe 1. i really like poe 1 but it s a major flaw of poe1. 99% of the 115 map bosses are lame pushovers. again you can make map completion by rares if you want but keep bosses interesting. my 2 cents Dernière édition par SerialF#4835, le 3 oct. 2025 à 07:12:06
