How to fix game performance!

Yea, but it is fix that must be done by devs. My solution helps and you don't need them for it.

im very glad you may or may not have found a 10 paragraph explaination to fuck with settings and gain some fps.

1- my solution makes it so you dont have to read 10 paragraphs. or touch settings.

2- no where near as many people want to mess with settings in this way shape or fashion that you think do / can / will

3- if you have to fuck with 10 paragraphs of setting changes, the developers did a trash job in optimization.

all three of these things can, and are, true at the same time.

and all wouldnt matter at all if

1- they optimized their game correctly.

2- used my solution... that they already have implemented in the... ahem.. other game.

cheers

which is better to use dx12 or vulcan?

Theoretically Vulcan. In some cases DX12 have higher FPS, but Vulcan is better suited for high stable FPS in towns and big fights. But without enabling DXGI, it doesn't work properly with gsync/freesync, hdr etc., although it can be easily fixed.

want to know the true performance enhancer?

use a palm of the dreamer.

no more corpses.

enjoy farming 200 divines for your fps gain.

^^

Yea, this solution could theoretically work, but I wanted to fix bad performance without any impact on game, not gain more performance by removing everything. :)

want to know a better solution? have corpses 'expire' and disappear. much like the scourge mobs do in poe1.

killed something? cool. after 5-10 seconds. get rid of the corpse.

does that suck for me as a minion player? (or like, a detonate dead character.. which... lets be honest. wouldnt really matter as much) sure.. i cant back track to get a spectre sometimes. but that can be worked around by trying to be quick. just like spectre'n scourge monsters in poe1.

ill take the hit as a class, for 10 fps+ for EVERYONE.

getting rid of corpses/objects to increase performance... was something we learned in like... all of the bethesda games. its a 20 yr old solution to a 20 second ago, and 20 year old problem.

will they do it. probably not.

but if they did. everyone would instantly get 10+fps regardless of their computer.

hmm poe1 works perfectly on pc laptop
It's not that simple. Shader cache limit is managed by NVIDIA/AMD and is shared by all games, so my fix may improve all games not only POE. Theoretically every shader heavy game. They could theoretically make workaround by using their own caching system (there is, but seems like not properly used or caching something else), by reducing need of shaders or by using fossilize from steam, that could help much more than their own solution, because it allows "share" cache between same spec PCs using steam update. But... only for steam users.

For now, this game grew too big and complex to be handled by drivers alone. That is causing unnecesary slutter and fps drops. Performance seems okayish when shaders are fixed and they continuously improve it. Now they need to implement some solution that fixes what I (and other peoples) have found.

true. and i dont mean to come off as a asshat with my responces. so im glad you didnt respond in kind. im genuinely happy you made this post.

its just that post wouldnt be necessary if the dev's optimized the game correctly. which seems to be a current theme in game development for the last 10+ years.
I agree they could do more. But no matter they do, this "fix" still helps squeeze a little more performance in all games and in current state of POE, it helps a lot. Just wanted to share. Nothing bad against you or them. :)

I hope they will read this and do something.
Using Vulkan since using DX12 crash the game every ~15min, I changed presentation method to DXGI and it helped slightly but it's nothing major, there's no perfect remedy to this.
