I don't understand the evasion nerf????

Yeah, I've been dying a lot more since the change, which, given that we're practically forced to run 0 portal maps now makes me just want to quit this stupid ass game for good.

I actually really had fun for once with my zoomy build but I guess fun just isn't allowed in this game. I'm just looking forward to the next PoE 1 season at this point tbh.
There's the display change that lowers the monster level against which your estimated chance to evade is calculated, by 2. That one makes sense since 82 corresponds with regular mobs on T18 maps. Just need to keep in mind that T18 rares and uniques can sometimes be 1 or 2 levels higher.

Then there's the lowering of the base EV and change to EV scaling, which is no doubt the reason why everyone is seeing anywhere from between a 1-20 % lower estimated chance to evade. This one sucks. Evasion was in no way overpowered, and already required significantly costly gear to get up to high levels, which is where it SHOULD be since so many things can lower it still, most notably monster accuracy, but also common debuffs like blind, maim, curses, etc. And that's not even mentioning the fact it has the innate issue of being hit-or-miss, so doesnt mitigate.
Not to mention that now that deflection is a thing and it is based off evasion, bringing down EV AGAIN also worsens your deflection.

Last is the change in the monster accuracy formula, which, based on what many are xperiencing now, possibly comes down to a buff. Combine that with the lowered evasion/deflection + the ironed out bugs for certain bosses that prevented them from being as tough as they were originally intended and the fact that we now have 'uber' bosses which are even tougher and i think it's pretty clear why this is feeling the way it does to many people that aren't running ridiculously broken builds.

If all of this is just a first step in moving forward and the next logical step then is the toning down of monster/boss damage and life for example, then i guess there's no real way around it, even though it's still a bit of a shit move to implement separately and about 1 month into the league.
But if they think this is the sweet spot for what the difficulty should be like in the end, then i don't think they've learned a lot of lessons from that garbage 0.2 patch

I am already spec'd into it.
There is honestly a noticeable difference of how much more I am getting hit in gameplay now. Even if the character sheet doesn't matter, I'm not the only one feeling this as a nerf right now.

same here

its annoying
its bs

another reason to finger the uninstall button
Like if they want to change the difficulty formula, I get that but not 1 month in, and yeah you're right, they're not learning what people like from 0.2. I'm not dying still but I am also 700 divines into my build so it's not 'difficult' but it's VERY noticeable the extra amount of damage I am taking now compared to before, I think an average player is REALLY going to feel the changes.

I just don't understand why they would start on the weakest defence layer a month into a league.

I don't want to be playing leagues if we're going to keep getting these mid league nerfs, especially ones like this that absolute lack logic in context of the current game state.
GGG probably saw that one streamer say evasion is rigged and that you only get hit 1 out of 11 times and if you are moving it is basically 0.

I had a hybrid LA DE and it completed all content and that was not my experience. Granted I never had the super endgame crafted gear(not even a single slot) that all these streamers have, but if I did I would expect to be godlike as they "complain" they are.
