Everything about towers was stupid.

I do NOT want to do maps I don't want to do, devoid of content, hoping that RNG smiles on me and the tablets hit the right maps, etc etc.


Most importantly, a simple map run as fast as possible picking up almost nothing but full clearing -- thats about 6-10m depending on abyssal depths and such. Per map.

So lets pretend 5 min per map to make it easy.

3 maps this way, 15 minutes to plug ONE tower

5 maps this way, 25 minutes to plug a second tower.. so now were 40+ minutes in, and we have juiced POSSIBLY 2 maps.... what the fuck. That is not okay. And on, and on, and on it went. It was invented to be a timesink because they don't have enough game for us to play.


Also you guys need to stop with the streamer nonsense. Just because someone has a thought doesn't mean it must have come from a streamer...
I never had a problem with towers and after the changes I don't wanna go back to towers
I didn't love towers but this is worse. I do like running the tablets in the maps in addition to the tower juiced areas. I never needed 3 tower overlap I just juiced them as I went and worked through an area looking for citadels. I basically always had 2 tower overlap though, almost unavoidably.

This system is definitely a league ender though

Same here....before we were limited to 3 tower areas if we want juiced maps.

Now we can go wherever we want and can have every single map fully juiced.

Want to go to the next Citadel but hate it to fight through 30 more or less empty maps?....this problem is gone now.

Want to farm Grass Biomes only without being limited to have them between 3 towers?.....now you can farm every single one on the map with restrictions in juicing.

Just 2 positive examples of many with the new system....it's 100 times better now than with the old tower mechanic.

I think what you all wanted to say is:

"I want maps to be rewarding on default"

Which indeed leads to conclusion that towers were not a problem as mechanic itself, but amount of the juice behind them comparably to normal map.

We will probably see people cry about loot again, saying that the change was mistake and stuff like that, but the real impostor is always going to be lack of reward, and possibly lack of a challenge...
