Chilled Ground is still bad.

Also now we're forced to run waystones with 6 modifiers in order to use 3x tablets. The chances that a 6 modifier waystone has chilled/ignited ground is very high.

Why is that an issue? This is my first league and I'm new to the genre.

I picked Ranger because I really like bows. I picked Rhoa because I like going fast.

The issue is twofold.

First it simply feels like moving through mud. It feels bad. Everything else in the game feels good.

Second there is no hard counter (the charm is not enough) without big changes to the skill tree allocation.

I have no issue with Curses because I put 2x Rune of Warding runes on my body armor. Those runes pretty much negate the effect of curses at the cost of losing some evasion/shield which is a trade off I'm okay with.
Also think about why they made this change at all. They acknowledged that Chilled Ground is excessive and announced a big reduction which was received very well by the community.

The current state of Chilled Ground maps feels the same as it did previously. So their intended change was unsuccessful at accomplishing what it was meant to accomplish.

Hence the feedback.
I play non meta, warrior 1h build and a staff sorc build.


My charm is up 100% with chilled ground on both of these characters.



My builds are, without even a question, slower than yours. Yet this mod does nothing to me.



So it sounds like you either, dont have a charm that has duration on it.


Or clear insanely slow somehow.



Another option, since you brought up gear and sacrafice. Is getting a long belt swap with charm mods on it if you really want to. Not required but is an option. (at the expense of whatever belt you are wearing)

Same logic as using the curse runes.

Make sure you check your quest reward at valley of the titans as well for charm effect duration

There is a hard counter to chill, it's a talent called crystalized immunities. I suppose you're using the legendary helm so you're pathing towards surround nodes anyway, so you just need to take some useless skills to fill them up with support gems and swap out one gem to get a majority for freeze/burning/shocked ground depending on the map.

(It's at the bottom of the tree, just right of the star shape)
This post is not about counters ffs. In patch notes it was stated the are of chilled ground was highly reduced and OP trying to show that impact isnt so sucsesfully implemented? Can you shove your silver charms and crystalized imunities up your backdoor?
You don't understand, they said they nerfed the size of the patches, so now the game just generates even more patches with a smaller size. Should've read the fine print.
