game keeps CRASHING

I moved an old SSD into my new pc. before the new pc ran game fine. i moved over the SSD and the game would crash everytime in less than 5 minutes of being in act2 ( stable area i could test and force crashes )

noticed my cpu wasn't running at it's proper ghz, i fried a 1080ti a couple months ago and somehow the power management setting on my pc, for high-performance actually only was loading 72% of power to my cpu. so i wasn't running my base amount, let alone the boost. but i had same issue, constant crashes. i updated windows, drivers etc. still crashed. thought maybe my power supply was going bad or something....

long story short, I reformatted the whole thing, started over fresh. 0 crashes since. pc running overclocked now with the boost and everything is stable.

If you're up to the challenge, I'd try reformatting. you may have conflicting software or just old corrupted bloat causing crashes...

it's not with AMD, it's with nvidia GPU and DX12. i can recreate this issue on my laptop with a 3080 Ti. On my Desktop PC with a 9070 XT i never had any freezes. So my conclusion is, this is only an nvidia gpu + dx12 problem.

That's the main problem...it doesn't seem to come from one config in particular...*sigh*

i never had any of this freezes before 0.3.0 with the same settings on my laptop. so it must be something with this patch.
i never read about this freeze on a AMD card. always nvidia gpu + dx12 is the problem. on vulkan there is no freezes but the performance is so bad, i rather take the freezes before i play on vulkan..... .
i updated my gpu drivers now its freezing every map. I will stop playing. Too bad this patch started well.

This points to a bottleneck compiling shaders. Before the update you would have a good amount of the shaders cached if you had enough space.

After your GPU update everything has to recompile, which it does while the game is running. Look in to some of the shader shennanigans that are posted elsewhere and you may have some luck. Namely cache size.
