Endgame visual clarity is already worse than poe1, here is why

This is mainly beacuse in the endgame player and monster effects are currently getting as crazy as in poe1, but on top of that the poe2 skill effects look even crazier which makes the clutter just insane.

This affects mapping by promoting builds that instantly clear the whole screen because you literally can't see anything otherwise, any methodical combat is just not compatible with the endgame.

Also in boss fights there are builds that make it impossible to see any mechanics, which also incentivizes builds that one shot bosses.

So these are some of the worst cases of poor visual clarity:

- Abyss - insane mob density and lots of ground effects

- Maps with huge density - at a certain point you can't even see what's going on on the screen

- Ground effects - These make it harder to see any other effects when they overlap

- Delirium fog - just remove it pls

- Some player skills with lots of projectiles and aoe, especially grenades which make the game literally unwatchable

It is kinda disappointing that poe2 was supposed to solve the visual clarity issue, but it's already this bad after just 2 leagues.

hmm i wouldn't say worse, i didn't want to vomit when playing poe2 yet, but i agree it could be better. i even made a thread about it but due to no interests i thought i was some boomer odd ball not enjoying the fireworks let me find it
It's not that people don't notice how bad visual clarity is. It's that the game is such a Pollack painting that it's the epitome of bad visual clarity, so no one feels the need to point it out. Birds fly, fish swim, you can't see anything in PoE 1 and 2, it's simply the rules of nature.

As a design experiment, GGG developers should turn off monster health bars and see if they can figure out what the hell is going on and where monsters are.

refreshing to see. Its sadly very true, and one of the many things people for years said "POE 2 will fix it" -- it did actually make it a bit worse.
