Control market inflation

I have been out for a day and the price of divines have ballooned to 100 more exalted orbs than previous days. Completely ridiculous. I play the game pretty seriously and even still this is way too much.

It is obvious those who have accumulated wealth early are cooking the market and yeah this happens every league but still.

There needs to be some sort of control in place. I saw one streamer actually suggest this but place a merchant somewhere in the game that has a default conversion rate of currency items. This would serve as a full stop on the inflation issue. And yeah the rich get richer but to be honest at that point the rich have beaten the league and if they produce itll just "trickle down".

Let me know what you guys think. Obv the default rate will still be high but it wont be no 300 or even 200 exalt per divine high.

heck I would even accept straight up market manipulation on GGG's part
I get priced out of playing after 2-3 weeks honestly. I am fine with this. Blasting for awhile and stopping is a good thing - just come back next time and blast harder :)
i think this change would honestly allow for more casual players to have more fun, acquire the gear they need to progress (specifically later from league start, if they started late). It would also allow the expendable wealth of the extreme players to experiment with crafting, driving down the price of higher tier gear, speeding up everyone's progression as the league is near its end.

I would also suggest a special microtransaction reward for those who do acquire the extreme wealth, so they are compensated in dopamine for their accomplishment in the league.

The current rate is ~230. One day ago it was ~203. Like, sure you can make inflation look "completely ridiculous" if you just absolutely make up numbers that suggest the exchange rate has gone up in 100 exalts in 24 hours when in reality it's been 10 days since the rate was 133.

Nothing is "ballooning" and there's no secret shadow cabal of wealthy elites "cooking the market." There is normal, steady, very predictable inflation that is exactly what anyone should expect to see as more and more casual players trickle into higher tier maps and start generating larger volumes of common currency.

apologies, its been two days. LOL either way your response none the less proves there needs to be some sort of inflation control. Youre not bothered then youre obviously one of those wealthy players, the graph kind of gives it away too. Meanwhile, I who does play pretty dedicatedly am making substantially less from the farming methods I was previously using. the inflation is not a casual or even semi dedicated player friendly
to be honest, its about nearing that time I quit the league because everything needed to progress is way out of my price range. before you come for me doubting my skill as a player. I farm tier 15 and 16 and have been doing boss runs with my map skill tree nearly filled. If I feel this way and I play about 6 hours a day I guarantee any casual player feels the same as well as others around my skill.

Sorry for asking a dumb question, but if you're at that state, where do you want to progress to and why do you need better equipment still?

You have to engage in the market if you want to progress from there. I make more currency casually flipping some items on the side than actually playing the game. On the bright side the changes to market made it a lot easier to progress my build further than it was in 0.1 and 0.2.

Terrible idea in Early Access. The market provides a great signal of what things are actually worth. Would you rather the devs just theorycraft?
SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.
