Firestorm, more like fire drizzle
" Against big bosses is technically the only place firestorm kinda works, especially against one that doesn't move and has such a huge hitbox, because the drops can actually do something. Even then, you would probably be doing 10 times that damage with incinerate in a half decent build Did you play fire in 0.3? Just to get a bad firestorm you still need to proc infusions, I have no idea how you think it's a buff Dernière édition par iHiems#0168, le 17 sept. 2025 à 11:29:01

" I added a link of me one shotting packs as well. " I'm busy gearing up my Chaos Lich at the moment. These Omens of Homogenising Exalt don't farm themselves lol HCSSF is the only way.

" It's not like it's unusable, you can make anything work as long as you have the gear with how much damage scales from wand and the rest. You can do it in t16 even That's not the point. The problem is why would you do that If the answer is for fun, yea I play some builds for fun, but right now firestorm isn't even fun with how clunky it is Without fire infusion it's so bad that monsters sometimes just walk through it because you *have* to run magnified area since the area is so small, but by increasing the radius with magnified area you also increase the spread of the droplets. So, you're essentially never casting it without infusion. Fine, let's just accept that Fire infusion gives it 200% of the droplets frequency and increases the radius from small even with magnified area to alright. Good stuff, it becomes usable, except you could just blow up the entire screen by infusing fireball instead of doing that for a skill that covers a corner and is a dot If you're feeding it 3 infusions, then you're setting up for something that should be doing that damage to begin with and is still worse than firestorm + feeding those infusions to something else instead For big bosses, yea, it's not bad, but that's about it |

" I play exclusively HCSSF. The clips I have shown you are with shitty SSF gear. You're incorrect. HCSSF is the only way.

" Okay so you did not play it in 0.3 then. Yet you insist of knowing it better, and that it is fine and fun etc. Now as someone who actually plays Firestorm, I cal tell you: It feels like shit. When I compare the setup I have to do to the payoff I get out of it, it's lackluster in every area. In theory if you jump through all those hoops, you should get a strong AOE that obliterates the screen. The reality is, that rare mobs take about 5 seconds to die. Might as well use the spells I use to get the Infusions to just clear everything (Living Bomb, Orb of Lightning and Frost Bomb) that would be about as fast. Now let me compare that to another build I have about the same investment in: Using Archmage with EB and MOM. My Arc oneshots about everything that isn't a boss. And that is without any lightning infusion. (And I am not even playing a good Ascendancy or using Crit in that) The only part Firestorm is better, is (as already mentioned here) on bosses. Yes you can make it work, and yes the animation is cool and everything and yes white mobs basically die instantly, but what build does not achieve that? I really like the three infusion thing, and I like the spell in general, but it really does not feel good on use. Maybe I try to some clunky Comet build next, at least with that the screen explodes and I don't need 5+ Spells to clear. |

0.3 firestorm is one of the least fun skills I've ever taken to maps in this entire series. You put in all the effort to get 3 infusions and you're lucky if your firestorms can fully finish off a blue pack.
Just redesign the skill. Stop trying to make the rng balls work. It's never worked. It's never going to work. The only big enemy it was good against was doryani phase 2, not even phase 1. Every other enemy is some thin, tall asshole who hardly gets hit even if he stands still. |
