Trials are the worst gameplay experience PoE2 has to offer!

Agreed. That's why a large percentage of players just pay 40 exalts and get it over with. Not worth anyones time.

Be careful. Don't criticize the game in front of a bunch of glazing meganerds lols.

" I've done it as warrior, it's really easy after the changes they made in 0.2. |

" I used to thought like you until this season. " It does, they are improving the game in every patch. Sometimes, their ideas are wrong but they need to check it out. I think the game is balanced, but it has a learning curve everyone has to be willing to overcome. " They are giving 2 options: Shekemas and Chaos. I guess that there are more trials coming, but they need to get ready those features. Trials are hard if you are not prepared for them, but when your character is well equiped you don't have any problem. The last two seasons I wasn't capable to do any of them. This season I do everything in the game without any problem. I have learnt a lot this season. |

The trials feel bad because you get bullied by RNG into being weak.
No one likes playing on a gimped version of their character, it just feels bad. I feel like there's some psychological loss aversion trap happening here because when I think about it I'd always rather have "enemies do 10% more damage" over "you have 10% less defenses". Plus it fuckin sucks when you fail the trial, and still say "you know what? lets just get a few levels, improve our gear, damage, defenses, and retry". And then on the second attempt, get fucked even harder by afflictions to the point where you were better off in the first run! I can handedly do either trial as melee or whatever as long as I don't get fucked by afflictions - and you can get screwed in either trial very easily. I think there needs to be some kind of overhaul over afflictions and boons in general - what they are, how you get them, how you mitigate them, etc. Accidentally sprinting out of roll while poorly dodging a sped up flamethrower trap which then knocks me down and instantly deletes me because of the hungry fangs affliction would actually be kind of funny if I wasn't bullied into not being able to collect water, gained afflictions when I gained affliction, have no defenses, and didn't go to the rooms I picked. In that scenario it feels like the game just wanted to waste my time and send my character to sc. And when I do make it through, completing the trial doesn't even feel like I overcame a challenge - it feels lucky that I dodged getting fucked by afflictions and also relieving that I don't have to do it again. The happiness is found in the fact that I can go back to playing the content that's actually fun. Dernière édition par karsey#2995, le 18 nov. 2025 à 12:50:51

I play Cheyula Monk specifically because it doesn't care about its ascendancy because they suck.
People pay to not interact with them. Ya its a winner |

" None of that is true, the RNG is very controllable if you take the time to learn the mechanic. Sure, if you just keep trying sooner or later you'll get lucky, but if you just learn how the mechanic works you'll succeed basically every time. |

I find funny that people cna defend trial of S******S but not Sanctum, the by far WORST league mechanic PoE1 ever had. noone liked it, lots of people say they did, but either then have not played or used to trashtalk about it, sadly the forum topics dont las THAT long you bunch of fossils!
Yes trials are BAD because they are NOT OPTIONAL and heavy on RNG, so you either have an optimal build(not a build that you like to play or wanna have fun with) and clear yourself, or you pay 1 div and get over with. I always liked labyrint, it makes you do PoE1 things, and getting dked there its optiona, if you want a Massivewarhammer up on your butt, you just leave all the mechanics from izzaro intact until last combat with him, if you dont want it, you clear the mechanics and fight the guy |

No one is defending sanctum.
No one likes it. Even the people who play it for the divines. |
