i HEAVILY disagree with the Chayulas Gift part. I love that talent. I don't like Chaos inoculation so that's usually my go-to. And with just 1 talent and Original sin = no need to worry about chaos res AND it's 85%. I really, really like it in what it provides. It's a tad bit boring tho and i would like it to have some "pizaash".

Also it open up a ton of stats. We can focus on other things and getting easy max chaos res is just such a luxury. Trying to get that on some other classes feels half impossible to me now. D:

Disagree. It's infinitely more better to have spirit from Chaos resistance than just doubling Chaos resistance. Spirit is more expensive than Chaos resistance as a stat for Melee. If it was 2 spirit per 1% chaos then an Original sin that's vaal'd with Chaos resistance enchant could net you 100~110 spirit in one slot and you could maybe grab 1 other equip or use runes for an additional 40-50 spirit. Afterwards, getting a none spirit Chest/Amulet is cheaper.
There is scepter in the game that gives you gloom shrine effect, that single item is clapping the whole idea of "reaching to the dark side" ascendancy and making it look like a joke.

Why does chayula monk doesn't have similar node on the tree? Make it based on your chaos damage and it's perfectly balanced, because right now there is no reason to go chaos damage and it's hard to scale and not that great, just use elements and slap rakiata. If you wanna leech just pick Amazon.

I'd give Original Sin convertion to Chaos dmg in Acolyte's passives instead on the general tree.

WEll, the thing is, i'd rather bake in a spirit system to darkness somehow instead of chaos resistance. Or give spirit from overcapped chaos resistance WITH Chayulas gift.

And i can't stress how good 85% chaos resistance feels.

I don't care that much about heralds myself to be honest. I find them a bit.. boring. :D I love using shattering palm for big clearing explosions and i just found Ancestral Call to get some nice triple hits into my ice strike.

It's just that I don't think chaos resistance into spirit is the way to go, or at least i would like something else. I think if spirit and darkness you co-exist, that would be better. Work off each other or buff each other, instead one completely deleting the other.
This ascendancy has basically nothing useful. Maybe the 2x chaos res looks decent, but you’re also forced to take a node with -7% chaos res (why?), so in the end it’s not even a big deal. And honestly, it’s perfectly possible to reach 75% chaos res with gear alone, without doubling down on passives.

If you take this defensive ascendancy without Spirit, you lose both Despair and Withering Presence, which means another passive is essentially wasted.

The volatility mechanic? That’s a joke. GGG has this masochistic tendency to make simple things unnecessarily complicated. Why not just give an instant buff of extra chaos damage if you’re dealing continuous damage?

The only thing that feels even remotely useful are the remnants, but ot's another joke.

Overall, this ascendancy is pure crap.

I saw someone made a suggestion for Volatility that sounded really good. Essentially, you just turn it into a form of Rage except it's for Chaos damage and you're able to scale it on the passive tree and ascendency.
