Spears are wholly underwhelming, and parry is a meme

THeir combo idea is bad gameplay to me. IT's not engaging, it's not dynamic, it's not any of the buzzwords they want it to be.

It's ineffective, unfun, and limiting.
I just wish they'd move the heavy stun gauge into the center of the screen near our character. Just make it another bar or something, it won't take up that much space.
Much better than having to look away from the action to figure out how close you are to getting heavy stunned.

They are already, called "+attack skills". I use +4attack spear and one of the best skills is the default jab (vs single targets)

Parry, which is buckler (not spear), is still useless. At the least deflection (25%+) should an innate skill on every buckler. Currently they are just worse than any shield or scepter.

And that's before they release other usable offhands like claws, swords, daggers, etc.
Just to add that all melee skills should be allowed (by default) to be used on the move, and all strike skills need to have splash baked into it.
As reported by content creators: having melee skills be tied into mandatory standing still is a major issue.

Alongside the status of almost all melee spear skills being a meme, with the addition of parry being crap.
Just stop reworking parry numbers, it's not a numbers thing: it's the whole skill.

This is in regards to 0.3.1's parry numbers changes.
Still awaiting any feedback on this, most specifically on how this is supposed to fit in "the vision".

I'd much rather see all melee skills be allowed to be used on the move, parry scrapped entirely, and do a touchup all melee spear skills, too many just have too many steps be usable.

Nope, no, not at all.
Abilities should be separated for purpose of single target or aoe damage.
it is possible to have different pay-off setups, only splitting single target vs multi target is a pretty bad and boring design.
