Merchant tabs 0.3 needs to be delayed before release?
" "Don't be a cheapskate, just buy into a blatant pay to win system." It's really disappointing how fast huge portions of this community abandoned any semblance of what is and is not acceptable levels of monetization. |

Hi Exiles,
am I right that the Premium-stashtab-conversion to merchant-tabs isn´t available right now? Cant find it under "My Account". UPDATE Found this thread, that describes it: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3826827 Dernière édition par ein1337erMilch#2945, le 22 août 2025 à 11:07:41

" I think you can only convert premium stash tabs to merchant tabs if you bought them before the update goes live. Any bought after will have to be specifically merchant tabs. So no converting back and forth on-the-fly or as you wish. I wish this was the implementation tbh. Send your stash tab over to the merchant. Or send them from the merchant back to stash. Even with some cooldown implementation for price-changes it should be doable. But I often forget their monetization model is all about selling this and that tab and they have investors to please. Gem tab is weak and feels like 0.3.0 will be a form of nerf to that. Map tab should include a section for Tablets. Unique tab should have slots for regular AND foiled variants. Sorry to get off-topic. But, yeah. Careful what you expect from GGG's monetization practices, I guess is my point if I have one. Don't get lost by being so focused on the target that you forget to enjoy your surroundings.

" Exactly, this is their business model. My only problem is when they keep introducing new tabs every league, it means I have to spend $30 on this game every 4 months...Last one was the map tab and then in 0.2 they came out with ritual, socketables and I bought those. Now I have to buy extra merchant tabs and potentially another gem tab since 500 gems will not be enough based on this update and who knows the following league. I guess they have to make a living too. |

" I have a feeling that awakened (forgot what it's called for POE 2) will add a feature to only search these new tabs and to ignore normal trade posts for price checking. Problem is that many, if not most, people don't use 3rd party price checkers so GGG really should have built in tools now that they're adding this feature. |

I agree it is supposed to be an auction market or something useful.
If they are planning to implement a feature for item searching, then there should be item pricing too. The challenge for them is probably item pricing of rares and corruption implicits. Until today, there is external software capable of pricing this in a good way for players, and it is all back to the player experience with the game and what rolls are really good. |

Another point is that people who can't price will always prefer to use the premium tab and not the merchant.
They will continue to raise prices once someone whispers for an item. So what they bring in this update is not a solution. I'm confident after going through this that this season will get so much negativity on Steam reviews just for the trading system. |

i will be brutally honest here i do not care what it cist me even if i lofe half my tabs we mush have this trade system
im freaking sick of trying to buy items from AFK Payers or u msg a player to buy and item for 20 divs and suddenly he says 25 div, and then raises the price again to 30 divs im sick of this the old system somehow worked in poe 1 because of the community but in poe 2 its a complete mess so im happy whit the new system! |

" Okay, but it doesn't have to be an all or nothing change. There's a version of this which isn't disgusting pay to win garbage, where the merchant NPC has their own inventory screen of a predetermined size (one stash tab, etc) and there's no way for players to buy additional capacity with real world money. And I'm saying this as someone who has dozens of premium tabs already. I am a whale with I-don't-even-know-how-many supporter packs to my name, because I was always happy to support a company for making a game I could wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend to both friends and strangers. That's no longer the case, as of this upcoming patch. What GGG are doing here is Diablo Immortal levels of unacceptable, and it instantly made PoE2 a game I cannot recommend to my friends without the caveat of, "unless you're planning to play it Solo Self-Found." The addition of blatant Pay to Win mechanics should be a huge red flag, to everyone. |
