Augest 29? So we still have 2 months away?

Seriously April to Augest is 5 months and its even the last day before September. So nearly a 6 month period even when they say 4 months in the post.

Man, this sucks. Really hope 0.3.0 has a lot of content for the nearly half a year wait.

wdym 6, its 4 months and 25days. so 5 at most.

Major updates for Path of Exile 2 are released every 4 months. Since 0.2.0 was in April, that means the next one will be in August

yeah, but it was april 4th and now its august 29th, so its more like 5 months tbh
So that means 1.0 will happen in lets see 7 times 4 months... 28 months from...

if we get druid and 4th act in august, then it is 2 classes and 1 act per 9 months, so after that it will get + 18 more months (1,5 year) to get remaining 2 acts and 4 classes, so 2027 for full 1.0 release.

Hitting the "ON" switch for the new content in Standard is all that's required. Your claim that this requires extra resources is false.

[Removed by Support] "Hitting the ON switch" ignores all the testing, QA, and potential bug fixes needed when new mechanics interact with legacy systems that don't exist in leagues anymore. That's not zero cost.

"

GGG is actively already doing this. Currently, at the end of a league, final adjustments are made before Standard ever gets to see the new stuff.

Right, they do final adjustments after seeing how it performs in the intended environment. What you're proposing is implementing untested content simultaneously in both environments, which creates more variables and potential issues to track.

I've been arguing for permitting more people to participate - at the cost of no one - while you are claiming they should be excluded.

"At the cost of no one" is where you're wrong. There's always an opportunity cost. Resources spent accommodating Standard's quirks are resources not spent elsewhere. And Standard players aren't "excluded" - they get the content eventually, after it's been properly tested and balanced.

You're not arguing for inclusion, you're arguing for Standard to get the same priority as the primary game mode despite representing a smaller portion of the playerbase. That's not equality, that's preferential treatment.

[Removed by Support]. All of this is already done at the end of a league. Nothing is added to the workload. That is zero cost.

And now they can do that exact same thing, but have more data at their fingertips. It’s that simple.

This doesn’t “create” any more work. It enhances GGG’s ability to detect problems.
