Outside of performance issues, my greatest concern for the game is timely balance adjustments. I think they are falling very behind in that department.
I agree, balance adjustments not being implemented mid-season is a big mistake. I watched an interview where Jonathan said they wouldn't make balance adjustments during the season because it would "feel bad" for players. But they don't seem to realize that 75% of players using one busted build and allowing them to run rampant for an entire 4 months has more negative consequences than positive ones.
I think their workforce planning includes 2 months before the new season starts for each of the two games.
If that is true, they are now on POE2 and will be done with balance in time for the start of the new season.
Maybe an ok idea for two released game, not so much in a rough beta that did cost a lot of money.
if those balance changes were reasonable I would like them more often, but what we saw were clear over corrections. there was problem with early loot, they cranked 3 dials to 11 to fix that within a week or so. i rather see good level headed updates than panic induced over corrections. also it might be a better idea to not even listen to very first feedback and knee jerk reactions of players and let it sit for longer to examine the problem in detail.

I doubt it. They don't know what they are doing. The plan and vision is not good and if they spent this time to fix bugs then ill give them a point but we have no bug fixes and no balance. Also crafting and drops are s...t.
You're wrong about drops and crafting, so you might be wrong about everything else. 0.2.1 and the Expedition loot buff has made SSF lovely.

since April 4th reviews show a 42% positive score. to say they are doing great, the title of your post, is stretching it by a country mile.
i understand you wanted to be positive and that's certainly fine. but we need to keep their feet to the fire to solve the dozens upon dozens of issues this game has even after the patches that have been done.
personally i am not willing to give them a pat on the back, tell them good job. they have a very long ways to go for that.

I agree, I think we all truly do know deep down this game is going to be THE ARPG. Just give them time

That is also my observation. Odd, really.
This is a good game and I appreciate what GGG is trying to do. Even more curious that the balance could be so over corrected. My only explanation is that the game is so complex that the devs don't have time to play these builds themselves. This must be based on bad estimations.

If balance and bugs not fixed in patch 0.3.0 then no, GGG need to hire more Devs.
