Problem with endgame is too much setup

I'm glad other people agree. What did you think of the ideas?

All towers should have the grand project effect. All towers should give +1 level (stacking so we can get higher level maps) and access to all maps in radius.
Every. Single. Tower.

I like that too! I still think even with that the benefits it adds need to stick for X many maps, no matter the radius.

My biggest problem though aren't the towers but I don't want to find, roll and micromanage my waystones. When I first reached endgame I was just using any waystone without thought and not caring about the towers and the gameplay loop felt fine. But now I'm too rich and high level and I want to juice stuff up, but doing the juicing is too much micromanaging and makes the game boring.
why not wait until you have a decent quantity of waystones before running back and forth, etc etc? I do not mean to demean you in any way here: It sounds like you are doing a lot of extra running around though.

What I did to mitigate downtime between runs was this. I snagged a quad stash just for fast stashing items I pick up during runs. Once it's full, that's the natural point where my groups and I sort out items, vendor, craft, take 5-10min breaks, log off, etc.

Hope this helps!! It may not be your style, of course. Every player has to find what makes them happy :)

I do something similar. I have a Loadin tab that contains everything from maps that I haven't sorted yet. It's the first tab in my Stash.
Agreed.

The time it takes to setup each map, hope you get a decent one through "crafting"(random chance), then planning out a two or three tower scenario (also by random chance) on the atlas itself - just to have areas available that have the potential to be decent is more time consuming than the act of actually doing the maps, which more often than not reward you with nothing, but runs the risk of you wasting all of that time invested if you happen to fail.

It's just not very... fun.

If they wanted things to be this random, honestly picking a difficulty level then it automatically popping you into a randomized map would've been the same thing but more straight-forward.

I used to have dump tabs but that felt worse to me. Anyway right now my loot filter pretty much only has tier 5 items and items that go to the correct tab automatically through affinities. I have no problem with sorting items I picked up. And I do have way more t15 waystones than I can ever run. I think you misunderstand my point. I just want to keep playing and have less time choosing what to play next between pathing the atlas, managing tablets and waystones. There's just a lot of micro managing there.

Also, you're playing with groups which inherently makes it all much less tedious.

This! It would be close to the same we can do now except if you go hard on wasting hours to setup a minmaxed farming area. And it would be much more playing less preparing. I'm not saying that's the solution I would push for but that illustrates how bad I feel it is.
