Portal in the passive Tree
For build diversity it would be nice to have like portals on each direction of the tree. Like N S W E.
Atm its a huge point commitment to just reach one side if you want to try a build. Like lets say you want a tactician that focuses on curse auras, you are on the opposite side of the talent tree and just putting one point in a curse passive will need over 20 points ro reach there. Same for a corrupting cry ritualist, and so on. With port zones like poe1 atlas tree ones it would be much better to try new builds and combinations. If the forums were a mediaval court, it would be filled with jesters and doomsayers Dernier bump le 7 juil. 2025 à 16:43:26

At this point would be better to let us choose where to start in the tree. Choose merc/tactician and start in the witch tree. There is From Nothing that already acts like the portal you're asking for.

That would actually be a pretty cool idea although i could see it getting broken builds since most of the most impactful skills are around the edges and not so much in the center.

" OP's idea represents the desire for freedom from players. Nothing should be broken. Designers must forbid the scaling such as per int/per str/each charge/... bull shits, or 50% passive potency from Titan. These f8cks sound like filler, not the actual effort to design an ascendancy. An extreme example is Amazon. accuracy, what the actual f8ck? If creating so many classes forces the design to be filler, may you not drag out more classes and focus on only a few. The passive tree must not be restricted by the starting point. |

OP, you mean like in PoE 1 atlas tree?

" Yes. The gates nodes where you can travel faster to another gate (the moon symbol) If the forums were a mediaval court, it would be filled with jesters and doomsayers Dernière édition par Dovolan#6140, le 27 juin 2025 à 18:53:10

" While this may be a good idea, how to you intend getting the attributes to use high gear and gems? What you propose may only be viable for Astramentis AND specific TimeLESS jewel users. Isn't that like too strict? HC SSF. What else? Ruthless when?

" I dont see the problem. The issue is position/ascendency related and not attributes. Lets say you want a tactician that focuses on blasphemy because the -50% spirit cost sounds so good. You are gonna put points in int anyway cause you want the curse gems and blasphemy. Now comes the problem. All curse nodes are on the north side. You start at the south side. You need like 30 points alone to reach the first curse nodes. Or You want a corrupting cry or minion focused ritualist for the dark primal shaman fantasy. You start on the right. Phys and warcry are all on the left, minions are north. same problem. You are gonna invest in the attribute anyway. What damages the build is not the attributes but that you dont reach your intented nodes without wasting a lot of points If the forums were a mediaval court, it would be filled with jesters and doomsayers Dernière édition par Dovolan#6140, le 28 juin 2025 à 11:28:32

" Having to travel to the portal node, then from the exit node to what you need... Sure. No problem at all. What you ask for you already have distilled emotions for. HC SSF. What else? Ruthless when? Dernière édition par vestolevs#5239, le 28 juin 2025 à 16:56:10

" destilled emotion give you only 1 notable as far as I know. We are talking here about reaching 4+ cluster on a side that is opposite to yours. If you want a choas gemling that goes on ES you are out of luck as the whole south half doesnt have any and you start there. They are all north. We are talking here about nodes in worth of 30+ points of increase damage and defense not available to you unless you use 30+ points to travel there If the forums were a mediaval court, it would be filled with jesters and doomsayers
