I have a high end gaming laptop (Lenovo Legion with a 4090) and a crazy fast desktop i use for 3d animation and rendering (AMD Threadripper 32 and a Geforce 4090, not a 3rd party 4090). and i run 256 gigs of ddr5 RAM. Solid state drives.
The game runs like hell. Its choppy it hangs it hickups it farts. I run through the checklist of fixes to improve things, such as deleting shader caches, running on Vulcan, checking the box for multithreading, deleting minimap folder, changing some stuff in the Nvidia control panel to prioritize performance over quality.... etc etc.
Game runs ok for a bit, but then right back to the hanging, skipping, freezing framerates. It does this on both computers. Understandable on a laptop, even with a 4090 its going to be rough (although Diablo 4 runs just fine).
Please, GGG. Optimize. Optimize. Optimize. I don;t want to play a softcore potato fest like D4. I want a punishing ARPG like POE2. But if it continues to run this badly i am out.
This game deserves to run more smoothly even if it means running at lower quality. All i care about is buttery smooth framerates.

They really don't care enough about performance because how can you justify even the global+trade chat taking too many resources (fyi just switch to random high number channels to resolve).
I don't even get the veterans heavy praising the likes of PoE1 for being great because all I've seen from investigation into performance problems are also performance problems of POE1 and I honestly don't know how chill of a gamer you need to be to deal with subpar game engine optimization.
The funny thing is as well is they actually want people to play together and "couch co-op" (like if we're gaming back in the 90's???) but the fundamentals of multiplayer is performance.
This company really needs to show its class by optimizing the engine and I can't get over how there's resources being pumped still into PoE1 when a well optimized PoE2 can attract way more consumers.

Press F1 once. Play with the graph. I have 1660 on my laptop. I see all of the things you listed only when Network exceeds 400 to 12,000.
P.S. This parameter also increases sharply as soon as you get closer to the Boss. I try not to play maps with them.

I play with GTX 1660 super. So having problems with top GPUs like RTX 4090, imagine how hard is to play with a low end card especially in a full party with ton of effects in ground.

Crazy fool. This mofo is running a TR with 256 gigs to game. I have nothing to say except he deserves this post lol. Damn bitch, I have no idea what game in the world can come close to even touch his build.

There is always room for more GPUs via SLI.
