Volatile plants visibility.

I don't doubt that if I pay 20 div for new equipment, I'll be able to survive a single volatile plant explosion. I just don't have 20 div right now.

What I do have is a screen full of body blocking enemies that like to stun too, and 7 homing instant death balls that unlike me pass through enemies and move almost as fast as my character.

Your advice to detonate them would be good, except they instantly spawn more until there's 7 on the screen. Since the spawn points seem random, I almost feel safer just having them follow me around. Well, howevermuch one can feel safe with 7 homing instant death balls on the screen.

Plus of course, to detonate them you need to walk past them. I don't like my odds of not getting stunned while I do that. Probably works 9 times out of 10, but there's gonna be hundreds of plants per maps...

Dont need to buy it. Chaos res gear is one of the few things that is somewhat craftable. On most gear slots lesser/greater chaos essence can only roll chaos res. 3 pieces with edium-high tier chaos res is enough to hit the cap, or 2 amethyst rings (rings harder to get the chaos res mod).

Understand your point about the ES though, im using an armour/evasion body armour but also took every +ES node within range of my build to get that 4.5k (witch pathing into monk section)

But stacking life is twice as effective for defending from chaos dmg. 2-3k should he able to handle 1-2 popping purple orbs.

I have exactly 2.284 life and 949 ES, and 23 chaos res, and I die to a single incidental volatile plant.

They do often sneak up on me when I kill the rare before it can spawn any (except for one off screen apparently), and I do die pretty much only to singular volatile plants or when I run maps with -player resist and elemental damage.

I ran for example Simulacrum, and since I had one extra I ran it an extra time after I had invested full points in it on the atlas - but the only time I ever died was to a single volatile plant while I was looting. Apparently it had spawned off screen during combat and snuck up on me. Was the very first volatile plant I had encountered there, so I wasn't expecting it.

Ok. Getting 60% res cuts the current dmg youre taking in half.

I really don't understand how they sneak up on people, they're practically little purple suns floating around.

Once again, running through them asap prevents having 6+ active at once. And its a lot easier when they dont 1 shot you because of chaos res, can run through all three and if stunned within range of 1-2 its fine.

Get chaos res.

60 chaos res is not realistic.

And during rituals there's always 7 active. If you blow one up another one spawns immediately, and possibly in very bad position.

It literally is though. Ppl playing SSF have figured out how to gear for it, that means you can too. I already said how you can go about making your own chaos gear.

And during rituals they are easy to avoid. I farm rituals and haven't died in one since before 0.1.

Asking for changes because you refuse to use the available defenses is dumb.
