I got banned because of using Exiled Exchange 2 (Price Checking Tool)

Hello,

I am a new player and my original account name is ENELHAKK#4258. I started the game with Dawn of the Hunt expansion. I am(was) playing on GeForce Now. Because of that I needed a price checking tool that works on GeForce Now because Sidekick and Overwolf don't work with GeForce Now. I found Exiled Exchange 2 from PoE's official forum. Here is the link: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3693048

I got banned shortly after trying to make it work. I sent an appeal from official site/account but it got automatically rejected shortly after.

I tried to make a comment on aforementioned thread or send a message to the creator with my original account but because I got banned I don't have any permission on making anything on the official forum with my original account.

ı tried to make a post on reddit but r/pathofexile2 just makes it wait on moderator approval.

I sent an e-mail to support and they shortly answered with "If your appeal has been denied we are not able to assist with this further via email."

Before people can ask let me answer:

I checked if price checking tools are banned from PoE 2. They aren't as long as they don't interfere with game's data and account. (It looks like I didn't check enough because in tos it is stated that any kind of third party tool -including price checking tools- is banned and it is mind boggling to use how many people are using these tools despite it)

I didn't do any kind of remote thing.

I didn't use any third program except Exiled Exchange 2 while playing PoE 2.

I just lost hope recovering account but I am making this post because of 3 reasons.

There might be other GeForce Now users in search of price checkers that work on GeForce Now. Be wary of using Exiled Exchange 2. Third party tools are banned according to the ToS and whole responsibility is yours when you try to use it Exiled Exchange 2 or any other program that makes dealing with website market less miserable.

Please integrate the trade system in game because I don't think I am the only victim of this meaningless trade system.

GGG's punishment system is very brutal and leaves no corner to players to defend themselves. I hope some official sees this post.

Have a nice day.

And there are my appeal, rejection and mail photos:

I used Exiled Exchanged 2 for 400 hours in 0.1.0. Haven't played since February because...well I don't want to and 0.2.0 didn't fix any of the core problems while making things worse, imo. So I guess I would have been in trouble if I decided to start it up.

Sad to hear that a tool that is basically required and recommended will get you banned. I've never needed to use support but I've never heard of anyone since Dec 6th actually getting help with support. Just news of no replies or template replies that don't help.

What happened probably is you spammed requests like crazy.
People use hacks, reading memory, no one get banned. Even bots are safe.

I think my problem is not being able to use it rather than using it. I am a middle aged man who is not very well versed with computer tech. I tried to use it, couldn't make it work and got banned shortly after. My techie friend said EE2 might have sent too many requests to server and that is probably the reason I got banned.

Exactly. This is very easy to do with with this app.

That sounds awful and is another reason the game will fail until GGG relent and add some form of trade in game, they can remove as many posts as they want the reality won't change.

Well, I read it and you're absolutely right.

It is my bad. I saw a lot of people using it (and my friends made me aware of price checking tools because I am a new player and I don't know what item is worth selling and what is not) and asked some people and they all said it is fine as long as you don't use any shady tools. I hope they solve the market problem and making these kind of programs obsolete in the process.

Have a nice day.

Overall very shit ban. You won't get unbanned for sure. What sucks even more they have feature limiting your requests per minute server-side. So it's even more stupid that you can imagine to ban anyone.
