Why don't you roll back the data to version 0.1, which is favored by the vast majority of players, including me. I want to say that version 0.2 is terrible!

My suspicions were correct about the automated test not being run.
Also, unless you're 100% sure that there are no impact in the existing data, creating a backup right before a patch is deployed is safer even if it's time consuming you just need to outright inform that there will be a downtime of 4 hours or so just to be really safe. This is because rolling back to a way older snapshot will remove the progress of the players and you can't return back the time spent grinding for like 24-48 hours to get that single Div and exp. Lots of lessons to learn from this for people in software development. |
