What is the point of this game?

There are two groups of players:

1. People who like the game as it is and buy lots of supporter packs

2. People who like some things and dislike others (usually very strongly on their dislikes). So they don't really put a ton of money into the game and only buy a supporter pack here and there, if any (understandably).

Over time, this 2nd group of players learn about the fact I mentioned before: GGG doesn't change their beliefs. People start to realize the "issues" they see in the game's designs/systems are actually very deliberate choices that will never be changed (unless GGG starts to struggle financially).

That's why people on the 2nd group (me) end up telling others to simply ditch the game instead of trying to provide feedback and try to "improve" it. It won't change.

This was true in PoE 1 under Chris Wilson too, it's just that this forums are a bubble and most of the people who didn't like PoE 1 just ditched the game years ago (again, me), so you don't have many examples of people who disliked PoE 1 who are here.

About me and why I'm here: I got baited by PoE 2 and its promises. Eventually I'll ditch it completely. In fact, I kept it installed waiting for 0.2 and writing this reply I remembered I have to uninstall it since 0.2 seems to be even worse than 0.1 and I'll probably never play this game ever again.
