What is the point of this game?

* Trading is garbage because you have to leave the game just to use a website to try search for an item you need, just to find the seller is either offline or simply ignores your trade request. You also have to do the party nonsense in the actual game to trade.
* Crafting is garbage because its pure RNG and any of the crafting materials (divines, omens, etc) are absurdly priced such that only the rich can afford to buy enough of them to make usable items.
* Monsters are garbage because they don't drop a single fucking useful item or crafting ingredient. I've gotten all my items from either a few select trades, or Alva/gambling because how else do you get anything useful.
* End-game atlas is garbage because you lose experience on death, you lose the map (and the special map elements eg ritual) on death, monsters can simply one-shot your or be impossible to kill if you get the wrong rare modifiers on them.

The game developers then try to use this piss-poor game design as a "feature" so players get "pride and accomplishment" like its some EA marketing bullshit. Making things annoying for a player doesn't increase difficulty, it just makes the game shit. The game designers clearly do not play the game or are otherwise using dev cheats to get around the multiple bullshit systems and mechanics.

The saddest thing is, this isn't even talking about the 0.2 update, these are all just core issues that the developers do not care about, they only care about superficial changes and heresay to try and appease the overwhelming dislike for the state of the current game.

Skill issue, since Chris Wilson choose to step down, GGG is in shambles.
While the wording is a bit crude, the general gist is correct. But this seems to be the visionTM and they seem to be dead set to rather let the game die before it's even fully released than to budge on making endgame a prolongued cbt session.

Just because the game is hard and buggy doesn't mean it isn't shifting or changing for the better.

I ain't preaching at the GGG podium either. There is a LOT to change to make the game 1.0 viable, in my professional opinion.

When I am listening to dev comments, I pay very close attention to the wording and cadence they use. This helps inform me, from my time being in the engineering field for MMO development and support, as to potential things not said, hinting at what could be coming.

There are things in the pipe that could or could not come out that will make the game a good 1.0. Just depends on time. If they get the time or find ways to save time on some things, they could get there.

I guess the question should be: what should poe2 be for you? Because it can be the best thing since sliced bread for someone else, and hot garbage for you.
The point of the game is to have fun, but the fun that was left in 0.1 was all stripped away. So, we shall find another outlet to satisfy ourselves.

Thanks for your honest opinion OP. Nothing personal, only business. I prefer brutal honesty over anything else.
There is no point of the game, you play like an insane exile, over and over for nothing.
Several years ago something changed within GGG.

For some reason they forgot this is just a mostly single player videogame.

They want to decide for you how to approach the videogame and how you like to have fun. This works for some people, and it doesn't for others.

If it doesn't work for you, then ditch the game. They won't change their mind. They never did with PoE 1 and it looks like they're not changing with PoE 2.

Don't worry mate, already ditched both their games. Thanks for your advice.

Don't understand one thing, why always on every thread, always one badge guy always tell the people to ditch the game.
