Why Diablo has so many more players and revenue than POE1.

its more than marketing, diablo is more accessable therefore broader appeal
and ofcoure its "blizzard" that name alone carries a certain weight so a new game is almost always going to be a financial success with a large audience well atleast for the initial hype Dernière édition par tarloch#1873, le 15 avr. 2025 à 04:22:33

Friends,
At the moment you have purchased access to the POE 2 test. If it were a release, then you could discuss everything that does not suit you. But at this stage you are testing a raw product. That's all. WE ARE Q ! WHERE WE GO ONE, WE GO ALL !

" lol. fair enough but the title of this thread is about PoE1, and in fact, you are in a forum designed for discussing everything that does not suit you. |

" hah, was sarcasm) lol WE ARE Q ! WHERE WE GO ONE, WE GO ALL !

" I wonder when it will hit the player base that poe2 is a reskin of poe1, and poorly done. All the spell with few projectile and cheap animations, the lack of speed, all of this isn't a choice by GGG. If every spell is random dude throwing spear, waving a schtick, and if the most impressive spell animation in the gime right now is a tornado is for one reason only: it's a reskin of poe1 wich was already an horrible engine that couldn't hold juiced map or tornado shot spell skin. GGG had a 2 horse power used and exhausted car, and they slaped the body of a buggati on it without making any change to the engine. This game will be the end of GGG and will remain as one of the biggest failure in gaming industry. |

Idk about any of that but I've never been closer to purchasing Diablo 4 than I am today 😂

" He's said in interviews he played Huntress all the way about 4 times before release, but at this point I can't remember exactly when or where he said everything. He did say in the recent one that they will be changing how they test because doing it from the debug menu doesn't feel the same as just starting from 0 through the campaign. I don't think that's a dance around the question, that means he knows the issue is in how they test, not in how long a campaign takes to play. They've said multiple times before that they don't care about length. They're not aiming for a short or long campaign, they just want to make it good. In their minds, if the campaign is good it doesn't matter if it takes long. Now other people obviously disagree and wish it took 2 hours to get through and others want a total skip. But campaign is clearly a big focus of the game, it's not a tutorial zone. Impatience is insatiable.

" The problem Johnathan seems disconnected from is "good in ARPGs is in large part determined by perceived value from loot. It doesn't matter how long it is, this is true, but adding more content doesn't fix that if the drops are not valuable to the player, either as trading collateral or for use on their character they are playing. If I'm not playing for the feeling I get from exciting loot drops and just want satisfying combat and gameplay then I'll play Sekiro and save the Mtx $ |

" I will abstain from commenting about another person's state of mind because I don't know. What I do know is if I telly you play Huntress parry you are going to have a hard time or Warrior where shield raise is a core skill in rotation or ... well pretty much anything but lightning spear, you will have a hard time in campaign and it will get harder as you get into end game. How is this to be fixed? Well we all have ideas but I would hope they do too. What they need is to spend time STRUGGLING with their own game and if they did that there would be fewer issues like this. If it's meant that we are those play testers then they have to drop "the customer doesnt know shit" attitude and treat us like QA. Frankly with the money TenCent is putting in they could recruit 200 QA testers to actually play the game and report back on experiences. But Jonathan should absolutely do it. Play Monk with Killing Palm as an integral part. Play these builds that are not meta. See how it feels. You wont like it. Better yet, play a cross class build like you can in POE1. It wont work. |
