Congrats team, I've never wanted to play ARPG's until POE2!

I wish GGG luck, but they come off to me as being worse then Activision Blizzard at this point.

Bro what?

Do you even know the extent of greed activision has? Do you see any... "surprise mechanics" in this game? Paid battlepass giving you ingame advantage? Mounts/Items giving you ingame advantage? Paid ingame currency? Have you ever heard of Diablo Immortal? Do you remember the absolute state Diablo 4 came out in?

No offence, but GGG is waaaaaay far from Activision. They listen and respond way faster than Activision ever did and ever will. And they atleast have the balls to go out there and do interviews, even though it just puts the target on their backs for the community.

Sorry, I get why you are burned out but that comparison is just absolutely delusional.

Can anyone imagine him or herself picking up a game they hadn't played before, let's say the new Monster Hunter for example, playing for a mere 10 hours, and then going to the Capcom forums (if they exist) to tell the developers that they like the direction of this new Monster Hunter installment and to ignore anyone offering feedback, before finally telling someone who has been playing Monster Hunter for 20 years that the game isn't for them and that they should quit?

Can you imagine doing that, because I can't.

Yeah if the new Monster Hunter is suddenly and illogically too easy I think that's a shame. Like I say in my OP, games need stakes, and challenges feel incredible to overcome. Funny that Wilds is getting flamed for having the opposite issue as this game.

I'm starting to think you stopped reading after "10 hours".
No I read your whole post and subsequent comments, which is why I can't believe that someone who claims to have only played 10 hours is telling Developers to ignore feedback and also telling other players that the game isn't for them.

You mean the guy that played himself into bitterness by logging over 500+ hours in the game during the release patch of an early access title? The same guy who said openly that he was quitting the game? It's not even a subscription based service... lmfao

You think telling that guy that it sounds like he doesn't like the game and it isn't for him is unreasonable? You're funny dude.
That's a remarkably strong opinion to have for someone who has only played the game for 10 hours. Have you gotten to Count Geonor yet?

Again, I ask other readers: can you imagine playing a game for 10 hours, then going to its official forums and telling the devs to ignore feedback and telling long-time players to quit playing? It really beggars belief that someone who has only played for 10 hours would do such a thing.

You are exactly the type of person that is wrong with the ARPG genre and bad for the game. A rigid, close minded gatekeeper and illiterate to boot. He didn't say to ignore everyone's feedback just the unreasonable loud complainers like you because your opinion is less valuable when you only express frustrations and small minded takes but that's interesting that was your key take away from it.

If somebody that doesn't and never has played an ARPG before is here saying the game is doing something right and making them into a fan of the genre then that is remarkable since 99% of people on Path of Exile 2 are PoE1 players that have been playing for the last 10+ years or really just want to play more PoE1 but are salty the league was delayed.

I think you should be thanking him for even taking the time to give such thorough feedback in order to give an nuanced opinion that hopefully is going to lead to a better game that you are clearly addicted to.
Good you're liking the game bro, unfortunately this forum knows nothing about good communication, so I will not ask you about your build, experience and moments with the game because forum haters love to turn a good conversation into sh1t.
I used to want to play them, until I tried this one.

Sort of ruined the whole thing for me.

Bleh.
It's worth noting that +2 maps are a dangerous thing.
They can cause players to get out of their depth -
playing maps that are too hard for the items they currently have. Herp Derp.

Thanks king! Nice to hear an opinion that isn't "stfu 10 hours is nothing" especially considering that there's no way that any professional reviewer plays a game for more than 10, and many games are lucky to have even 60 hours of content in them anyway.

I appreciate your curiosity about build choices and agree that people can suck pretty hard online. I'm someone who hates spoilers and strongly dislikes looking up hyper-optimizations and meta builds. There are games where you should be following the meta of course, like LoL, other competitive pvp games, high level MMO raiding, etc.

This game feels very single player leaning and it's hard to put my finger exactly on why I feel that way, although a small party set up would probably be incredible. A friend and I rolled Warrior HC together for a bit one night and it was so fun I can't emphasize it enough. You def gotta try it.

I like that the game seems to emphasize some type of status/elemental effects in congruence with physical damage - it's a magical world after all right? My initial vision was more or less a fire battlemage type. Tried seeing what Sorcerer felt like and then when I died I tried Warrior a bit. I still haven't logged more hours tho because I try to limit my game time to stay productive in my daily life.

The only legitimate critique I've heard about this game (that I assume the devs are working on already) is that there isn't currently an even balance to viability across abilities and classes, and while that's a totally valid critique, the game is still in very early access stages. Looking at their expansive tree and the fact that a ton of abilities have yet to be released leads me to believe they already agree with that on a foundational level.
