[QOL] Lich's Eternal Life node should alllow restoration of HP when you click on the well.

A much easier way is to refund the node in your hideout, heal up and re-apply it.

Being stuck on low life makes me twitchy, so this is what I do between runs. I do agree that not needed these extra clicks and being able to top up with the well would be nice. It would, however, be irritating for people trying to lock in low health, who just want to use the wells to fill their flasks.
