[SUGGESTION] Move movement speed on boots to an implicit or even build in modifier

Chaos Resistance is a valid bottleneck. It's the rarest damage type hence obtaining it takes more time. Chaos Inoculation should stop getting buffs added to it every patch. GGG has been pampering that Keystone since launch. MS is not a huge issue. I'd still wear my Thorns crit boots even without the +19% MS roll. There are other sources of mobility beyond raw movement speed.

Why would they do that? To make boots useful and logical since move speed is critically important? Naw pipe dream.
This is a game is a slot machine. Slot machines need jackpots. Movement speed is one of those jackpots.

Yes boots without movement speed are basically useless, but the devs are more likely to try to make the game tolerable without movement speed then make movement speed easy to acquire.

They added T2 movement speed to an essence. I guess that was their answer.

That's sad and unreasonable.
Each slot has it's own 'identity'.
They even added implicit for belts (charm slots) for the exact same reason.
Boots should imo implicitly make you faster, as this is their primary role.

they are considering it. they are going to add some change to movement where it doesn't affect combat. It's important to not pretend that movement speed has no effect on challenge in this game - the bosses in particular rely on the character's base speed to be any threat, if you take some speed nodes and 15% boots you can walk around nearly every AoE skill used on you it the first acts.

in fairness a solution which requires work for them could be, add implicit move speed to boots, but also adjust several enemy AoE skills to be bigger or faster as well.

I strongly agree with your point that any boots with no movement speed are instatrash in this game. I'm HC SSF and I have some 60 life, dual-resistance boots that sit in my stash waiting for an exalt because I'd prefer to wear my boots with MS and 3-4 useless stats.

This is the reason why I am constantly saying they should just remove move speed entirely outside of a few short term buffs and buff base move speed to about 40-50%. This way the game can be designed around this. Current base move speed is too slow to begin with.

This would also make combat in maps a lot better to play and possibly make more skills viable to use as we could actually kite some of the faster mobs. Bosses can be tweaked to work with the new base speed easily enough.

yeah, sadly letting players move around faster would decrease the number of players falling asleep that means less players connected to the game so that wont happen

I loathe how slow the game feels. I don't care if they say it's mathematically the same speed as POE 1, without quicksilver it's just disgustingly slow.

I really think the sprinting speed should just be base movement speed, and our boots improve upon that.

Or boots need to get to 50% movement speed natively (without sockets/corrupts)
Yeah Movement speed is a huge thing. Everyone loaths for it no matter the class. Boots with 2/3 sockets are way more expensive just because you can get slightly more movement speed. Its fucking hilarious.
We already have a way to put 30% movement speed on boots, and it is too broken because there is also 100% effect of socketed items. You can easily craft perfect prefix 2 good suffix boots in 0.3.

Boots on the ground right now are worthless and this person says make them more deterministic.

It legit never ends, everyone just wants ground loot to be completely worthless just so they don't actually have to grind for an item. "My perfect rare is RNG! Outrageous!" Why wouldn't it be?

They shouldn't have changed the "momentum" gem. 30% more movement speed while attack was much nicer than more damage.
