The monster life is not the only problem during campaign.
It looks like you guys severely nerfed drops across the campaign. Items and currency. I got 1 lesser jeweler, 4 exalts (1 from ritual) and about 7 regals in 4 acts. Is this really intended ? I remember you guys saying before the first EA release that if the players do not slam their items during campaign you would consider that a failure on your part... I guess you can consider this 0.2 a failure then. |

Let's go by parts then GGG because it seems you still don't get the full picture.
First, no one wants to use 3 or 4 skill combos. It doesn't matters how much you want this if your players do not! We play the game you make, we pay for the game you make and we only do so when we are having fun. No fun, no players and no money. Second, you want to incentivize a hybrid combat style on the amazon and then completely ignore the fact that most skill nodes they have around are ranged. So how do you even expect players to invest into melee? More importantly, how do you expect players to have points to invest into both melee and ranged? Nodes around her need all to be both melee and ranged bonus at the same time and they can't have nerfed values because they give bonus to both melee and ranged either or players will just go into ranged for values that are not nerfed. For minion damage. Early game it was horrible of course and to be fair it was already absolutely horrible in 0.1.1. Only by end game did minion damage start becoming usable and here's the funny part. This didn't just hit the top end in a way that made their damage more in line. Characters who were juiced in OP gear with level 29 minions and tons of spirit went from being able to doing tier 15 waystones that were juiced up asleep to minions dying in tier 1 white waystones against white mobs. You didn't nerf the top end of minions, you made them unplayable from begining to end. If it wasn't for the specters, minion playstyle wouldn't even be possible anymore. Monster life is too high yes but what have you done about bosses? Let me give you an example. Killing Act 2 boss on my warrior is an exercice in frustation. Even if I was somehow good enough to beat the boss with the way it is now, that would still mean a fight that is at least 15 minutes long because the kind of damage I do to it is laughable. It was already hard in 0.1.1 but now it's just impossible for most warriors to beat it. In fact for most people who want to beat it they have to join a party with other people who have the damage to do it and that should never be necessary. Speaking of which. When are you addressing the Warrior issues that stem from you not giving them a single decent hammer gem until act 3? This is not rocket science. it's simple. All that is needed is a gem that has something like a 120 degree attack cone and has a range equal to the weapon's reach. You make it do like 110% of normal attack damage and 110% attack speed and you just raise both as the gem levels up. Add quality to give some extra reach like 1 or 2 meters at quality 20. Also make the attack be in place, don't force the player to move in order to attack. Do you see how easy it is to solve warrior/hammer skill gem issue? You just need one single low level, preferably 1, skill gem that actually works. As it is, it's so bad that players are forced to use basic attacks all the way until they have sunder. This is how bad ALL attacks in the hammer class are. You are forcing players and have been since release, to use basic attacks all the way up until sunder is available. How can you not see the issue here?! Lastly, I doubt anything you do in 0.2.0 to be enough. What I see is taking some extremely small tentative steps forward rather than the willingness to fix the mess you created because let's be honest here. You are still hanging on to what you call "the vision" but you need to wake up. Your vision doesn't matters if the players aren't buying it. You either provide the players with the game they want to play or they will go back to other games. I for example quit on day 2 after reaching the Act 2 boss. It just wasn't worth my time killing that boss with basic attacks and I doubt you'll fix that anyway. There are many people who gave up on day 1 and many more who didn't even bother to even make a character in the first place. You lost 60% of your player base from 0.1.0 to 0.2.0 and while player loss is expected, it's certainly not 60%. 20% to 30% maybe, not 60%. "The heavens burned

Thanks for keeping Huntress' unique Playstyle. I love the in/out and was waiting for this for a long time. Please do not give in to the people who just want the same playstyle as the ranger. We have that class already.

Fix the drop rates, especially in the campaign and crafting, because right now it's gambling. If it wasn't for the market on the website, I wouldn't have finished the campaign because I had zero weapons or anything. And the maps are definitely too big, I play the maps and it's a massacre how much running there is!

GGG as well as the people asking for a slow methodical ARPG have no clue what exactly that is supposed to be. And with good reason. There IS no such thing as a slow methodical ARPG and not GGG, nor anyone else, is going to be able to succesfully create one. No doubt later than sooner, they will all figure out that what they have been yearning for, will turn out to be a horrible mess that very few people will want to play. These two concepts just don't mix and match. It's that simple. And even if something remotely playable actually gets released in the end, it certainly wouldn't jive well with the vast majority of people that have been paying their bills all these years : POE veterans and fans
I feel fairly confident in stating that the likelihood of most of those people not caring about nor wanting all these newly introduced mechanics to conquer a slower gameplay (such as hazards, parrying, volatility etc) is very high and the feedback seems to prove it Sadly, they'll push this madness through anyway and destroy what could have been something great because the people in charge now are clearly deluded and feeling self-important enough to KNOW that THEY are the ones who are right while the undeniably vast majority of their fanbase clearly is wrong Well done. It's stubborn moves like this that go in against all good sense that end up ruining things in the end for both players and company alike. Also, while this update post at least indicates you yourself are noticing incredible, yet deserving lashback to these changes, it also fails to address a bunch of other problems that have been mentioned many times. I get that crashes are top priority, but if you're making the actual effort of posting a list of issues being looked at, it does not bode well to exempt certain issues from that list : - What about the horrible crowd control such as getting stunned multiple times on each monster pack with characters in high-end gear ? - What about the fact loot drops have been or seem to have been reduced ? This is in a game that by the way, was already famous for being sparse in handing out actually usable loot ... - What about the fact that defense options such as for example Wind Dancer, have been nerfed while they were not overpowered by any means ? - What about the fact that many skills that weren't meta were smashed into the ground right along with the others ? - What about the fact that almost all of the new support gems are exactly the kind of stuff most players will look at and think 'nah, crap, not using that' ? - What about the fact that this has by now been mentioned in all corners of the internet as THE worst patch ever to be released for an ARPG and that even conservatively speaking, they are right ?
