0.2.0 No GPU/CPU Engine Improvements at all...

Jonathan said that the team that would have worked on performance was stuck fixing/finding crash issues. Hopefully they can focus on performance soon/now.

well you should not forget, that not every issue is from the developer of a software, but also oftem from the driver of the gpu manufacturer or other components.

For example, many games having problems with particular driver versions of nvidia drivers, so its not really the developers fault here, yet often the developers are able to solve these driver issues. sometimes thats not possible and you just have to wait or downgrade the version.
for full pc freezes for example, windows update 24h2 was the culprit - not only PoE2 was impacted by this, but some other big games aswell. Yes that sucks for the player, but its not the developers fault, yet still they try to fix an issue thats not easy fixable because they lack many vectors of information.
I myself was impacted by this error, and since not only poe2 was producing complete pc freezes, i downgraded back.

What im trying to say is, issues can come from an infinite number of combinations of hardware, software, settings and so on. These things are sometimes really hard to get rid of, especially if you are lacking intel on many of the parameters affecting it.

also, the talking point was performance, idk what targeting, or attack without moving has to do with game performance, but im sure u will explain it to me.

It is precisely because it is Early Access/Beta that we have to complain about these things.
Because it is Early Access/Beta, there is little content. So we can more easily scan the entire game to know what we can optimize and how to make the game lighter (which it is not) and with this information, plan things like textures and effects in advance to be more optimized.

Or are you going to tell me that it is better for the game to have more than double the content so that we can try to fix it? They tried to do this with PoE1. In the end, we got a new game and PoE1 is still as poorly optimized as it always was.

In other words, the problem was not solved and it even increased in number.

-fix atrocious targeting system ("smart algorithm" overriding your target is horrible)
-fix skills that lack any inherent movement built into to actually NOT MOVE YOU when using "Attack Without Moving". <- skills like Ice Strike MUST NOT move you if out of range with "attack without moving" command!

I have about 60 games on Steam library, and a few others stand alone. Literally the only other game that has matched POE2 in buggy and performance issues is Madden.

The Frostbite engine in Madden is known for being buggy and poorly optimized. That should tell you something.
