Why does this game not support Super ultrawide resolutions?

I don't think ive ran into any other modern ARPG that does not have support for this.

Are GGG just really behind the times or are their devs just really lacking?

I mean there are individuals that manage to fix this support for their games. So whats up?

....because you will have advantage over people with QHD todays standard screen with 21:9 ratio (or even worse scenario with FullHD ratio)

We got it crap in Diablo 3 and 4.
Diablo 4 in PvP mode when people just wiped other players because that Ultra Wide Screens allow you see them when opponents did not see You.
Diablo 3 - this gave huge advantage over Pylons in Greater Rift.

Also having Ultra Wide Screen gave you huge advantage about running maps.

performance and to a lesser degree a level playing field...before ultra wide the only way to gain the gamplay advantage of seeing more of the world is through a zoom hack (bannable)

He who controls the pants controls the galaxy. - Rick & Morty S3E1
i mean i play on 3440x1440 with zero problems
Ya, Ultra-wide mode was a huge advantage during the wildwood league in poe1.

That`s today standard.
But people starts get more Wide screens with ratio 32:9 (5120 x 1440) - this make problems....

If you address problems or exploits please provide proof. I hear alot of problems/exploits that 32:9 causes but so far no one provided actual evidence. In the other thread someone posted screenshots to proof quite the opposite.

I feel you on them not supporting this format. Like cmon I dont want to cause burn in/ uneven wear and tear on the monitor but this game and company is forcing us to ruin our screens.
i play 2540x1440 thats it simple format..

and

i do not not care even if people play on 9000x2000...

why all this anti WS war by GGG and some people here ...?

they can play on 15000 x 2400 and i would not care at all

especially in POE2

GGG did indicate that there was a practical reason for establishing this limitation in POE1. I don't know if those same limitations apply to the new engine for POE2. The maximum supported display ratio for POE1 is 12:5. I'm not arguing for or against, just linking the history.

Because of server serialisation distances, this maximum aspect ratio is currently set to 21:9. This is the widest that we can currently go before we start hitting the cutoff where entities and effects vanish. We are looking at being able to increase this in the future.

Also: Change to 12:5 from 21:9 to help avoid black bars for resolutions close to 21:9

Prior to implementing the bars, players complained that there were dead zones for skill usage at the edges of the screen.
