My problems with what's happening
Long Time poe 1 player.
Been playing poe 2 since open release day. Can't even log into poe 1's new season. Every poe 2 character I have proves completely useless around 80 when I can't complete trials due to lag or disconnects. So; problem 1 > WTF is with your servers? when I play with a duo from level 1 - 65 through the story It's usually pretty good and smooth. Then the mapping phase hits and I'm ready to stab my partner. Problem 2 > Why can't we revive in maps after the entire story allowed it? and WTF is the point of 6 portals then? I know I have more complaints, have logged 540+ hours in game. I'm just too tilted at the bad experience I just had to come up with it. But these 2 are not "to make it harder or keep people engaged longer" it is ruining my experience. Please figure out server issues and decide if we can revive or not Dernier bump le 17 mars 2025 19:45:29

You ain't alone.
Found it very difficult getting through the trials in one go as they kept crashing, usually right after a boss kill, making them incredibly infuriating on top of all of the nonsense rng crap you have to deal with. It would be real nice if they'd kept their promise and allowed us to do whichever trial we want, instead of basically forcing up into Sekhema->Chaos->Sekhema rotation unless you want to delay your initial ascendancy. Lot of work ahead of them, maybe the next major update helps with some of these issues. |

1)
Ask instead what is up with your own ISP. 2) It's an incentive to make you play better and plan ahead, not pick overwhelming mapmods. In PoE1 you could just run-n-die multiple times and still eventually complete the map. The portals are there to let you dump off loot and/or perform trades. |

" I understand the reason, but it's terrible game design and not fun. What is the point of teaching us a mechanic and having us practice it for 6 acts only to remove it right at the peak of the game (hitting endgame). Either remove the mechanic entirely or rework the map system. I am a fan of the single life system for the record. I have terrible latency issues on PoE 2 but have absolutely no problems at all in PoE 1. So it's not just the ISP at fault for PoE 2 at least. |

" As loooong player of Diablo when situation with servers was much worse than PoE2....This is not easy to solve problem with lags. There are steps to fix it: 1. Forget to play any game over WiFi (You can have top shelf WiFi but still this transfer technology will chock over packages...simply radio is not good) 2. If you have LAN check TTL between host and your router (should be under 1 ms) 3. Use TRACERT Utility to test connection between You and PoE2 servers, ans also to see where you lose packages. 4. If you lose packages somewhere (TRACERT Utility) use VPN and try avoid this router 5. Check different servers (low ping doesn't mean that this connection is good) 6. Use another network card 7. Connect you computer directly to WAN (to exclude problem with router and switchers if you have that) 8. Change LAN cable (if you have LAN) 9. There on YT are good tutorials how to setup LAN device in computer for games |

" The campaign is a tutorial, you get to learn the game and boss mechanics at a more forgiving pace. |

" That is exactly my point though. A tutorial that makes the game easy on you and then removes the functionality that makes it easier without even telling you they are going to isn't a good tutorial. All this actually does is make you worse at the game and confused, since you can't rely on the feature you've been relying on the whole time that you assumed was part of the game. Either take it out if it's not an intended feature (clearly isn't if it only exists in the tutorial) or allow it everywhere. |

" What did you expect them to do? I mean, mob respawns and you lose any drop that was on the ground before dying. The only difference is the access to the map (6-portal thing). You don't expect them to block your access to a zone on acts like they do with maps, do you? |

I mean I see what they are getting at. If perhaps in the campaign you are sent back to town on death and sever portals/checkpoints and you have to get back to where you were at. That would be a much better way to introduce them to the current endgame philosophy.

" Sure, they can make it a little bit more annoying, but the main penalty when you lose a map is not about having to clear it again. It is the special content that map had (breach, delirium, irradiated, etc) and the map itself. You can't reproduce it during campaing. People would realize it first time on maps anyway. |
