Burning grounds dmg

I don't think they are. Also, I don't know why I think that.

I changed from Monk to a Ranger, in order to avoid this. I prefer to play melee but this games punishment system is legendary. The ONLY time I die to a ground effect now is if I stop moving to pick up an item. So I don't really pick up items anymore either.

A better question would be.
Why am I playing this game when everything I have done, all of this time I've sunk in is gone when the patch drops.
