Ascension feels frustrating

My biggest issue with Sehkama Ascendancy is the extra health bar that unaffected by any defense mechanic and does not start topped off, worse the recovery of which is dependent on pure luck.

AKA Honour.

Remove that and I don't think anyone would complain.

But your honour is affected by defence mechanics. If you evade stuff you won't take damage to honour and if you have high armour the amount of damage your honour takes is reduced.

Relics can grant you 'Honour Resistance" which caps out at 75% like elemental resists do, and the more hp/es you have, the higher your honour as well. I run trials for profit on my melee build, it's just extremely difficult sometimes when RNG is against you and you're forced to take an affliction that essentially bricks your run. The biggest run killers for me are the negative movespeed affliction and the no armour affliction, since movespeed is required for 4th floor boss, and all of my defenses revolve around high armour rating.
If you watch a few videos and get some knowledge going , the trials in normal are fairly trivial.

The cruel trials will require a little bit of strategy.

The game could do a better job explaining how to play.

But basically for sekema trials, you are expected to bring relics to help you. Especially honor resistance and max honor.

For trial of chaos, it's about knowing which debuffs will hurt the least.

Same with Sehkemas afflictions.

Like I didn't know until like 180 hours that you could buy stuff from the NPC in the trial to get buffs.

To the point if you know what you are doing, you can start running trials for fun and loot.

Which I know you might find unfathomable because you are so frustrated.

But basically you don't possess the knowledge.
