XP Loss on Death (prob not the first or last)
As a new Player, I was oaky with this at first. It kept me from wanting to dive into 15's right away when I finally got to the End Game. It was a perfect soft wall to keep players where they should be.
Now, at LvL 94. I lose hours of mapping/grinding to something that deletes me 7k ES and 3k Life pool. instantly. I can't make any mistakes cause I will lose HOURS of irl invested time. It is really starting to make me hate this game. I would like to see an adjustment of some sort if possible. Maybe have a roll back. Say 1% loss difference every 5 levels starting at 65? Ex: 65-70 10%, 70-75 9%, 75-80 8% etc? So when you get to the 90's you're losing only 6-5% on death and not 10? make it slightly less painful? Well, I got it off my chest. Going back to the grind. Love the game for now. Please don't let me hate it. Dernière édition par KillianZ86#8612, le 1 févr. 2025 13:53:40 Dernier bump le 2 févr. 2025 19:48:05

Lowering it like you say is an OK idea by me as at level 91 (my level) you only get like 3% to 5% per map and to lose 10% two bars is annoying

" Ya, it hurts. Most the time I just log off. |

They should reduce the death xp penalty at high level. Losing 10% at level 95 means losing several hours of grinding. It's just dumb.

GGG is the only developer in the world that things permanently losing XP for a single click mistake, and half the time it's THEIR fault for being unable to code right, is a GOOD THING.
Most others have moved away from this. Even Souls games give you a chance to gain it back. |

" Especially Sekiro where you permanently lose 50% of your current XP. Oh wait and in Dark Souls 1 you lose all active humanity. And in Dark Souls 2 your max HP are reduced up to 50% with every death. But sure you can pickup souls. |

" You and one other guy on this forum have the worst opinions I've ever seen in my life. |

" Well those are not opinions. Those are facts. |

"So? They still let you gain your XP back. Also, in Dark Souls 3 they dropped that HP loss mechanic because the players rioted. No one likes having their time and effort wasted more than necessary. That's why Developers changed things. |

quit focusing on your xp bar and play the game. You will not have more fun just bc you ding lvl 95. Losing 10% is on you when you can easily lose only 2.5% but again who cares rly it's not the point of the end game. End game is grind for better gear that's pretty much it. Lvl 94 is enough to make all the content and grind whatever gear you want eventually you'll lvl up (or not, not a big deal.) .
