POE2 Community is FAR more Toxic than POE1. I Wonder why?
Turning off chat is the first thing I do after creating my first character. I don't have any data. Just pure assumption. I think that the influx of RMT spamming may be due to the increased player count. The increased toxicity I assume comes mostly from newer players (non PoE 1 players). Maybe in other games that was the norm.
Since I don't use chat I don't really mind. But if this really is an issue, maybe bans would be in order. At least RMT spammers should be perma banned. |

Completely disagree.
Chat moderation is already way too harsh, arbitrary, and even in some cases straight-up random. Sure there is often some banter and joking around but that is also what chats are for. If you don't like the discusion that are being had you can change the channel by typing /global <insert whatever number> Some channel are thematic or dedicated to specific subject (for exemple global 666 for minion discussion if I'm not mistaken |

First thing to do in any new character - Disable Global and Trade chats, just whispers and local enabled.
100% No toxicity. |

Easy. Because GGG tried to appeal to two irreconcilable audiences. So they made game for nobody. Those want extreme pace of PoE1 will always hate campaign, lack of movement skills and movement speed and crafting, those who hate PoE1 will always hate endgame.

" This. Censorship is lame. Instead of acting offended just turn global off or go to a different global. |
