AMD 9800x3d Crashes whole PC

The game still crashes in loading screens my entire PC crashes leaving only the power button as my only option.

AMD 9800x3d and 4070 TI Super Corsair vengeance DDR5 RAM 48G corsair hx1000i PS ASUS ROG strix X870E-E Motherboard

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X 32 CORE here and the games using 75% cpu usage!!!

Ryzen 7 2700x no crashes at all here, with a Radeon rx 5600 xt

If you're using Windows 11H2, it's the reason why it crash.

I doubt that, the game only use 1 core to the fullest and a handful of cores with low usage, there's no way it's using 75% of your 32 cores alone.

What's your fps? 10,000?

I also have 9800x3d running windows 10 and was crashing every 1-2hrs when using DirectX 12. Now that I've switched to Vulkan haven't had a single crash in over 5hrs.

I tried Vulkan I had "less crashes" but still crashed. HHowever directX 11 doesn't seem to crash but it runs like trash creates lots of frame drops and stuttering

The crashes on ur part are probably because of windows 11. The other guy that switched to Vulkan is talking about the nvidia crash issue. Thats solvable with switching to from dx12 to vulkan right now.

Im still having the same issue, once in a while and only when im entering a portal on new map pc freezes and im forced to hit the shutdown button (9800x3d, steel legend x870, rtx 3080 12gb, windows 11 on dx12). The only fix i could get is to set affinity for POE2 in task manager and disable first 2 cores on the processor so i can still have some resources to spare and force stop the game after it crashes. Still looking forward for a fix, this is getting on my nerves...

Mind you that it might not be the games fault . Latest windows updates have serious of issues with different games f.e wukong doesnt even run 30 mins in top end machines , cs freezes and needs pc restart etc and all of them are well known and are windows faults. Also about 75% cpu usage no way its the game thats using this even a meager 13600k@5.8 uses barely 20%. Keep sending crash reports and switch to vulkan
